Official October SAT Math Discussion

I wouldso it with my calculator…but algebra was so much easier and faster for me. I still need to be comfortable with my 89 :frowning: we have to be like the letter “M” where one half ends the other begins XD

Just to throw another question in the mix for anyone compiling a list, there was a question that asked when f(x) and g(x) were the same, and I believe they were the same when x = 7.

what Did you guys get all the above for this problem?
f(1) < f(2)
f(4) < f(5
f(7) > f(9)

If that was the one where you had to choose I, II, and III, then yes.

@shadow mist, isnt that one 4??

so was the answer E for chosing I II and III?

Ugh I hate how my memory is failing me. I remember the question with f(x) = g(x) and the one with the other functions, but I don’t remember what I put. They were pretty self-explanatory, you had to find where the functions cross each other and the other you had to find whether they were above each other so I hope I got them right.

Maybe we’re thinking of different questions (or maybe I screwed up, lmao), but I’m pretty sure the one I’m thinking of was 7.

Yeah. E.

f(a)=g(a) were the same at the point where both graphs intersect, but i don’t remeber the x- values for their point of intersection

I guess x was 4 maybe, i don’t remember getting 7

Yes, x was 4

Was the section with the question 3^(x+1) = k (or something along those lines) an experimental section??? Thanks.

was the question with the f(1)<f(2) in the experimental section? It was where you had to like choose the roman numerals…easy question but still i wanna know which section was the experimental!!

^ No, that was real. I had writing experimental, but apparently the one with ice cream (?) was the experimental.

Wait, so the section with f(1)<f(2) also had the question 3^(x+1) = k (or something along those lines)???

Can someone compile the answers so we can move on from those questions

yes, i have a quick question in the grid in question when 2*10^a+3^10^b=30020
what is a+b?

It’s was 20030 a+b =6

i must did something wrong because i get 5

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE section with the question 3^(x+1) = k (or something along those lines) an experimental section??? Thanks.
