@Fishys: I remember that and got the same thing.

There was also a really easy question whose answer was x = 30 degrees (x + 2x = 90).

@Fishys: I remember that and got the same thing.

There was also a really easy question whose answer was x = 30 degrees (x + 2x = 90).

It was a cube with 6 sides(obviously), 9 boxes each. They said each edge had a length of 1 so each cube was 1. So 9x6 = 54. Then one cube in the corner was taken out, however, this doesn’t change the answer because it still has the same number of sides.

If that makes sense…

E: I don’t remember the x=87 one, someone jog my memory?

wow I missed that question…it is actually really tricky…

^yea the cube one is really easy if you simply visualize it. you take away the three sides that you can originally see, and add the other three sides of the square that were originally hidden

sorry for bringing this up again, but for the cut rope question, was the answer E. ? I really hope i didnt make a foolish mistake, I know i’ve already gotten 1 wrong for math Careless arithmetic ._.

Sorry, I don’t remember what choice it was. Only that my calculator came out to 8.5 or something,(you can probably check yours), if you used a calc to solve it. Scroll up into the past answers in your calc.

In fact, I’m going to go check my calc now for some answers for you guys!

–
In my Y= I have 4.95+0.07x and Y2= .10x from that minutes problem. I used find intersect and got 165 minutes I believe.

And the rest of my calculator is cleared? wow… nobody even touched it.

Everyone go get your calcs!

ahhhh, i cleared my calc memory by accident. man, i can’t afford a 750 o.o do you guys think there’s gonna be a good curve for math?

^dude I have 3 cousins who got 800 on math…I can’t afford a 799.99999999999 and I already missed the cube one

I am basically screwed.

@theasiansadness OMG same! i feel like i’m not living up to my expectations. it makes me feel ever worse. and hopefully they give us a good curve, b/c tons of people got that cube one wrong.

i hope that section was experimental, if that was the case i will cry out of happiness

unfortunately it wasn’t i had writing experimental, and i had the cube question, so… i’m sorry for you mann :/

@BasedGod: It was indeed choice E.

@Studious THANK YOU SO MUCH. AHHHH, i can sleep well knowing i didn’t screw up and that i still have a chance for a high 700. thank you sosososo much!

ok so now I just recalled myself leaving the trail one blank…ok already no hope for 800

@BasedGod: No problem. For some reason, I distinctly remember “8” being the largest answer and choice E.

@theasiansadness i never leave math questions blank. ever. Because most people don’t get more than 4 wrong, it’s always better to just randomly guess.

@studious i’ve seen you in like every october sat thread. great job, with supplying answers and back up!

@Studious, I’m just curious as to what the question with answer x=87 was exactly. I don’t remember it completely but if I can read some of it again I’ll remember.

@BasedGod: I’m probably discussing it a little too much… But thanks!

@Fishys: I can’t remember, actually. I think it had to do with angles. Specific, huh?

yea…the question was like what can be the biggest value for the angle x, and the triangle was composed of two x angles and one something value angle

The 87 one had three angles, and it asked what the largest possible angle measure for one of the angles was, I think.
