I just received a big envelope with the enrollment packet and financial aid info. I live about an hour from Pomona and it was postmarked 3/20 via USPS priority mail. Still haven’t received an email yet.

So i’m assuming the package is gonna take a day or two more to get to Pakistan and other further away places… Sigh, I cant wait.

I’m not Hawkace, but I can tell you that this year, Claremont McKenna had an increase of 14% in applicants, so their projected acceptance rate is 8.5 - 9%. If that holds up, along with Pomona’s 9.8%, CMC and Pomona would be #1 and

2 in the country, for Liberal Arts Colleges, in terms of acceptance rates. And, Mudd is not far behind.and neither, surprisingly, is Pitzer (Scripps also has a respectable placing in the top-tier).

Wouldn’t it be cool if, in a year or two, The Claremont Colleges were #1-4 in the country, for acceptance rates?
Williams,Amherst,Swarthmore, Bowdoin, et al are great schools, but it’s becoming quite clear that the advantage of
going to school in southern California, at The Claremont Consortium, is gaining in popularity each year.

Hey guys do you know how long it would take the USPS to deliver the package to foreign countries (especially those in the Southeast Asia)? I know it will come sooner or later but I am really anxious about the financial aid. How do you guys feel about the your award? Generous?

Last year 4 of the 5 most selective traditional LACs were the Claremonts. I’m not sure if it’ll follow this year. Pomona and CMC definitely will be top 3, but Swarthmore also had a 42% rise in applications (and is predicted to be 10-11%)

CMC- 10.7%
Pomona- 12.1%
Amherst- 12.8%
Pitzer- 13%
Mudd- 13.9%

I was waitlisted, but I got into CMC (my top choice) so I’m fine with it :smiley:
