General Comments: I Can't Believe It! I was 100% sure that I was going to be rejected bc of my low scores but my strong EC's made up for them.

HALLELUJAH!!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!! My D has been accepted!!! She called this morning since the letter has not arrived yet (we're in California). She will post her stats later when she comes home from school.

In the meantime, her possible hooks:
typical bright Asian-American but not majoring in engineering - she is very artsy and sent in a CD of her work. Art recs say she has exceptional ability and has won numerous awards for her artwork.
Went to Harvard Secondary Summer School (was Pton flattered that she preferrred to apply Pton ED over Harvard EA?)
Her school only offers 6 APs so she went out of her way to find and take preppy courses elsewhere. She had strong recs which really showed her intense curiosity, perseverance, and creativity.

Weakness: Her school is weak in APs not only in courses offered, but in quality of instruction - she was the first from her school in many years to pass AP US Hist with a 4. AP Calc AB was a 3. Hope this gives encouragement to others who had weak APs - Princeton seems to look at the whole picture, letting other attributes accomodate for weaker scores.

indeed. ;)

Princeton2B, you just call the admissions office, tell them you would like to know their decision and they will ask for your name and social security #. That's all. The whole thing took less than 5 minutes.
