On my questbridge locker, it says that my revised college and match rankings agreement is due on November 7, and the revised college ranking form will be available on oct. 26. However, I’m still waiting for an email as well.

finalist!!! I’m so elated. My stats were not even AMAZING. GPA >3.5 and my ACT was >30. My EC’s and Essays were truly what got me in. I’m so shocked because I got in with my GPA!!! Congrats to all!

My son got his rejection email today…4.2 weighted gpa…4.0 unweighted…3rd in class…SAT’s about 1300 (M+Cr)…taken only the top classes offered at our school…great reccommendatios…a kid who often performs in 2-3 theatre productions at a time…sports each season every year… 4 yrs marching/concert band and this yrs drum major…several leadership positions every year at the school and club level…chosen as a College Prep Scholar through QuestBridge in the spring…National Hispanic Recognition Program scholar…some volunteer work…income <$60,000 but non-custodial income about $40,000 and he won’t help with college…and I’m a teacher so he isn’t 1st generation college. Am not really sure what else he could have done. Trying to hold on to the belief that no door closes unless another one is ready to open!!

so I didn’t become a finalist but congrats to everyone else!
I’m guessing that not sending in my test scores hurt me, and that my essays weren’t spectacular, oh well at least I can still apply to some of the partner schools through questbridge!

IF YOU DID NOT GET YOUR EMAIL: GO TO “YOUR LOCKER”, IF YOU MADE FINALIST IT WILL SAY UNDER “COLLEGE MATCH RANKING”:

"If you do not wish to re-order your college rankings, you do not need to complete this form and QuestBridge will use your initial ranking list submitted on October 12.

The revised College Match Rankings form will be available on October 26, 2010."

This has been verified.

@Snowing: Yes. My friends and I figured it out. We had someone who didn’t make it and didn’t have this option. He should have made it. But congrats to you.

@unknown

Post your stats in the finalists/stats topic.

I just tallied it up.

Since page 98 of this thread…
42 CCers have reported being a finalist.
10 CCers have reported being rejected.

Of course it is true that those who are rejected are less likely to post saying so than those who became finalists, but interesting none-the-less.

Owlwise, I go to a private school on a merit scholarship too.

Congratulations to all the finalists, and the best of luck in the match process!

And even if you didn’t, don’t worry about it, because many of the QB partner schools give out great financial aid to low-income students and it is highly possible to apply without QB and still be accepted to one of your first choices.

Hah, still haven’t received an email but…it does stay all that stuff under College Match Recommendations so I have hope :)

Rainbowwwww :)

do you guys know how i go about submitting common apps if i ranked columbia and stanford? cuz i have to select early decision right…but you can’t do that for more than one school.

The people that are posting their stats. If you can kindly also post the number of people in your household along w/ the income… that would be great. I think knowing how many people are sharing that income makes a HUGE difference than just knowing the income.

Thanks everyone! :-)
