Is it bad that it is 1:45 the day after and I still have not received an email? I don’t think I made it, I just would like conformation either way.

I am a finalist for Questbridge and my extracurriculars aren’t that strong. I’m in the National Honors Society and Red Cross (clubs), I volunteer for the Recreation Department in my city, and I volunteered for the library one summer. My GPA has been a 4.3 every year. I have taken Honors/AP classes every year. I am currently taking all AP classes. My SAT score was 1920 but I retook it in October and my subject test scores weren’t that good. I’m retaking two of them in November.

Does anybody know when we will get our Applicant Portal login for Penn? Also, we only need to send the tax forms to Penn along with the cover sheet and submit the Penn Financial Aid Supplement (PFAS) online right?

To clear it up for others, all schools want you to put regular decision for the Common App.

I’m a finalist, too! But, I’m a little bit confused, on the Questbridge application for the College Match thing, the due date for the College Rankings has been moved to Nov. 9th.
It used to say Nov. 1st, does that mean that all the things that we need to hand in to our ranked colleges has been extended 8 days?
If so, that’s great!

I’m pretty sure that just the new Match Agreement Form, if you rearrange your Match schools, is due on the 9th. Everything else should be Nov 1.

did anyone else’s college specific requirements just like…disappear from My Locker…?

Yep, I think everyone’s disappeared

is the “why columbia” essay question the only one for the supplement? thank you

do the colleges see the essays we wrote and our teachers’ recs for questbridge?

^^^

Yes of course they do. They are evaluating you on your being a QB applicant. They will see everything that you sent to QB.

How long does it take for Collegeboard to send the SAT scores? I have a score coming October 28th, so should i wait til that comes out and decides what to send to colleges? Or just send the scores I have now and then send the other one?

so im not a finalist, does this mean i can’t apply regular decision through questbridge in dec?

psitle, if you are worried about the timing, print out your scores from the collegeboard site and fax them to the schools with a coversheet with your information, and say “official scores being sent”

It depends on the school if they accept the QB application, theres a page that details the colleges if they accept the QB application whether or not you’re a finalist.

I’m just going to go ahead and do the “mom” thing. Please do everything before the deadline. Do NOT wait till the last minute. Just because QB was generous and extended the deadline before does not mean they will do it again. This program is much to important to procrastinate.

For those of you who blamed QB for the server being down and you couldn’t submit, NO, it was your fault! You should have had your app done and submitted before the last moment. You know that thousands of others are doing the same thing, and you should be proactive. You can’t whine and say “they should have a better server, or blah, blah”> Also, respect the fact that Questbridge has afforded you the things they have, such as free apps, the possibility to do ED on multiple schools, and the extra essay highlights so elite schools know you in your context.

Congratulations to all of you, finalists or not. Use QB and its benefits as it will serve you well in your college admissions.

Okay, now that I have finished my mommy rant, please just complete you supplements, FA etc and submit before the last moment!

Does anyone else have trouble seeing the college-specific requirements? I don’t mean just the locker, but throughout the whole site? Every time I try to load the requirements page for each individual college, the page doesn’t load properly.

I submitted the day before the craziness, sadly one of my teachers hadn’t. Nothing more stressful than it all hanging in the balance of someone else. Eek! But I agree, they warned us. I’m working on the supplements, CSS and Fafsa now. My goal is to have everything done by the 28th giving me a bit of leeway. To think, I could know where I’m going to college in a mere 39 days! Madness I tell you.

Do the colleges see our Quest for Excellence responses if we did them?

Anyone know if I can use the SAT 2 scores I will get in November for College Match?
