Exactly the point razor 302! I can’t tell you how much it impacted my daughters senior year knowing on Nov. 30th where she was going to school, and the financial part was taken care of. That is the whole point of my rants. The goal that you are all going after is worth the time. Good for you razor for doing everything in a timely fashion.

is it okay that even though i took SAT IIs, i didnt submit them to all the schools i ranked? cuz you only have to submit sat I OR act right

After reading up on the FAQs for most of my ranked schools, I read that they will only accept SAT scores up until October. If I only have one SAT II under my belt (until November) and have my SAT score coming next week, will they still take my application and consider it for Regular Decision, or do they just disregard me completely?

I’m so excited for this! Even if I don’t get a Match I have all these fees waived for awesome schools.

Quick question. I took my October ACT today and I was wondering if I would be able to send the scores after I know what it is. I don’t want to send them if they are lower than the first time I took it. That would look bad. I just want to know what my score is before I send them. Would I be able to do so to have them considered for the College Match?

Also, are December SAT II’s eligible for RD?

Umm anyone knows hw many finalist got selected?

Coz i think last year like 3000 got selected…if this year its more thn um we have even a lesser chance of getting into out dream schools =//

Hey guys, so I’ve noticed that USC application for merit scholarship consideration is due Dec. 1 but we won’t be given the option to forward our QB application to regular decision until Dec. 1. So does anyone know whether or not we could do this for USC or just submit the regular USC app before Dec. 1.

Thanks!

^^ Check out [2005-08 National College Match Program Results - Acceptance Rates](http://www.questbridge.org/cmp/chances.html)

Do I have to send ALL test scores to the colleges or only the best ones?

And I just took the ACT today and will be taking the SAT subject tests on nov. 6… so I send these scores to the colleges too right?

I’m trying to find out if QB schools will accept November 6th SAT scores. Anyone know?

It seems to take about 20 days to receive your SAT scores. While you may be able to send your score in before decisions come out, I am not sure that the colleges will be able to factor in your SAT scores by decision time. I know Yale (and I’m assuming other colleges) says that November is the latest date to take any SAT. You’re obviously already signed up to take them so it couldn’t hurt. If anything, your scores will factor into the regular admission process if you are not chosen for the match.

What if I took SAT Subject tests in October, and the scores come out in 4 days. Should I wait till then to get the results before sending official score reports?

I would like to pull out of match round and ED to Cornell. However, I have been unable to access the College Match Rankings form to check that I want my application switched to RD. I was able to do so on the night of Oct 22nd, the day the results came out. How am I supposed to approach this? I am supposed to hand in my ED form to my counselor tomorrow,. I can’t be EDing and doing the college match at the same time.

actually, I would like to know the same thing. Can we use score-choice for SAT subject tests or must send all of the scores?

And through QB, do we also receive fee waivers to send the scores or must we pay for each report?

What’s the advantage of applying to colleges early through the National College Match as opposed to forwarding QB applications in the RD round? Isn’t the rate of acceptance through QB lower than RD?

I’m wondering something.

I received the Finalist email, but is there any other notification on our QB account? I expected a Finalist Status post in my locker or something.

@ Lovelybones
Although RD has higher acceptance rates, wouldnt it be more beneficial for you to apply to both? If the match does not work out, there is always RD.

@ Luminouzz
I was wondering the same thing, however this spring College Prep recipients had no notification on their QB profiles either, so I would take the email as gospel in this case.

So is everyone sending their scores through the “regular shipping” method?

I’m sending them in regular. As long as they are sent by November 1st, I’m sure there won’t be a problem. I emailed my matched colleges if they would accept November scores, but I’m worried they won’t get back to me in time.

For the Common App personal essay, can I use the biographical essay I submitted for Questbridge?

I feel like the biographical essay is my strongest one, but will the colleges I’m applying to look at both and think, “wow this guy repeated essays on Questbridge and the Common App.”

@persianprince: Partner colleges such as Stanford and Princeton automatically move your QB app to the RD round if you are not matched; in other words, you can’t make any changes on your Common App or edit it to make it better, considering our QB apps are rushed. Which is why I’m asking on why applying early through College Match would be better than just going RD.
