yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy NYC
this is what makes the east coast so alluring to me. am i shallow? ah well. then i’m shallow. :P

BUMP… keep this thread alive

only 2 months to go until decisions…anxious

bleh me too

I think I’ll go mental around late March. Waiting for 10 December for ED was bad enough… doing it again might just kill me.

apparently Yale has already started giving calls to likely admits. I wish Columbia would send out likely emails already…

plumdum…Columbia (fu/engineering) IS sending likelies already. And Harvard. Do you mean Columbia “College”?

yes of course I mean CC

Yeah, the College hasn’t yet, sadly.

I mean, of course not everyone gets likely letters, but dammit, I want one! Hah.

Are these likelies given out to people who submitted their applications super early? Or to people at random?

Well it’s not random. Just to people they’re sure they’d admit as it goes along possibly.

I’m so nervous about Columbia!!! I’ve already decided that I’m not checking my results right away. I’m waiting to hear from my other schools first, because I know I’m getting into at least one of them since it’s a safety. And if I get rejected from a safety school, I guess I’ll just go kill myself. (Kidding).

People have told me that I won’t be able to wait. But I waited on my SAT scores, so I can wait on this. I’m not even excited about it. Just SCARED. Scared of out my mind. Every time I THINK about D-Day, my chest and my stomach get this horrible weighty feeling, and my hands feel shaky and I feel like throwing up. So I feel no excitement at all.

I was dying for the ED people! I mean, come on, I wasn’t even getting my decision then, and I could barely take the suspense. I’ll probably never even get to see the decision because before I can look, I’ll have passed out and cracked my skull open on my coffee table. Sounds like awesome fun.

So. How’s the waiting period going for everyone else? Hopefully better than mine!

Hello, my name is Walter and I am applying to SEAS (hopefully admitted through HEOP since I REALLY meet the financial stuff(aka OPUS))

As far as how the waiting is going, I go to sleep, wake up and ask “is it april yet?” OMG! This school is my FIRST choice! I really hope I don’t get rejected!

Can people chance me?

Here is a link to my thread

Good luck everyone!

Haha Cloudyafternoons, I totally know where you’re coming from. The waiting period is going about the same for me. I can’t sleep at night because I’m so nervous and regretting not applying ED. And not just for Columbia, but the other 5 ivies I applied to. Even with that said, I’ve realized just how much I want to go to Columbia, so not only am I nervous for my other schools, I’m becoming even more nervous for Columbia and playing out a million different situations in my head that may not even happen and as I am typing this I have an economics paper due tomorrow and it’s 1 AM but I all I can think about is APRIL FIRST! It really sucks and I can’t wait for it to be over, regardless of whether I am accepted or rejected.

I’m at a loss. I changed fro SEAS to CC today, bc the major I want now is in CC…and the admissions rate for RD is like 7.5%…I now feel like a lost hope, but at least I’ll know I got rejected for following my passion lol

is SEAS really easier than CC? I heard that SEAS self-select the applicants. what does that mean?

Have any of ou guys had your interviews yet?? Just wondering because I had mine today and wanted to exchange experiences.

I had mines in November because I applied extremely early for RD. it went well, but I don’t think the interview factors in to your admission decision at all.

Good luck to everyone!

Well Idk if SEAS is really easier but it does have a higher acceptance rate so it can’t be much harder if you have good stats, ya know (+female engineer=slight hook)

@jazzyindy you might be right but my interviewer told me that I was one of her most unforgettable interviews and that she really want me to get in.

Is any one talking to any sports coaches?

Ok, so i’m totally clueless but did you guys sign up for interviews or did they sort of provide them for you?
