**OFFICIAL SAT Biology E/M June 2013 Exam**

@alyssa193 I put O2. don’t the rbc’s carry o2?

@satman @medicalboy
So was the answer to the beetle one an upward concave up graph starting at zero?

@satman:

since you probably got an 800, I’m going to ask you all my questions haha

What was the answer to the blood plasma question?

can anyone confirm what the beetle problem was asking? Was it about the population or about the individual organisms?

the beetle one had “number of organisms” on the y axis and “time” on the x axis, so I think population

oh ****! Was the plasma one about the buffer? Cause I put oxygen, but I think it’s bicarbonate

@satman1111 it was bicarbonate

The beetle curve one was the one where it started really high, then as time passed, drastically dropped. It was a deep curve.

oh yeha it was population

Pretty sure the uterus feedback was the answer. The endometrium sheds without fertilization

@satman1111:

noooo. Your mixing two different problems - one asked about the buffer (which was bicarbonate) while the other one asked ‘which of the following is not contained in blood plasma that is 90% water’

So… the answer should be saliva right??
[What’s in Plasma?](http://faculty.stcc.edu/AandP/AP/AP2pages/Units18to20/blood/whatsin.htm)

@megalomaniac the answer said that the endometrium sheds when the egg is not fertilized

and yes, that one was saliva.

And if the beetle one was the population, would it be the graph that goes up fast, then hits the carrying capacity?

What was the one about the two different types of plants that lived in the desert (sorry for not being specific)? I put adaptive radiation, but I’m 99% sure that’s wrong.

For the oocyte question, what caused the delay in the beginning?

Can anyone confirm te wording of the endometrium answer ? I thought it said that the endometrium sheds when fertilization occurs

the dessert plant one was convergent evolution. The one where there was a lot of types of very similar insects that all have different niches was the adaptive radiation

I remember the endometrium one, because I remember thinking it could have been the feedback between the uterus and ovary answer, but then I remembered the pituitary is involved as well

What about the choice for the female monthly thing? I don’t remember putting it but it could be a choice?

That answer said that menstruation occurs every month FOR THE WHOLE LIFE, but it only occurs until menopause

The endometrium answer is straightforward and true. I think its the answer…
