Official Sat I Discussion January 2005

Both judges agree that school boards can choose their curricula (A)

prune: branches?

red blood cell one was

something...isolate (D)

yeah, i put the one w/ isolate

prune:branches

I put the cut:nails

i've missed between 2 and 6 so far. I think I missed max of 10, at the worst, I hope. That should stll give me a high 600, right? If the curve is normal.

18 relapse:illness::backslide:wrongdoing ??

does anyone remember a question about irradiated food or something
and also does anyone remember the last math question about the carpenters and the plumbers' salary

Carpenters/Plumbers salary was III only

Irradiated food...I put first one. i_____ (six-letter word)...encourage

thanks i put that too. but I guessed.

So far, I know I got the rate question - with the 3.75 wrong but I spent a lot of time on it. I left maybe 3 verbal blank and quite a few math..maybe 4. I have this theory that perhaps if I didn't guess as much, then I will receive blank points which will give me a better score. i left like 3 blank on the apparently experimental one (honeybees, the 930).

r u sure III only? i put forgot which roman numeral but it was ONLY that some carpenters get paid less than some plumbers

ahh, i had the hardest time w/ the irradiated food, but i put the same thing.
and i got backslide:wrongdoing also

About guessing, I never leave a problem blank because usally I'm never in a problem that I can't eliminate at least 1-2 of the answers and then you should guess at least I do. I don't like leaving blanks lol cause then you have 0 chance of getting it right.

blank points?

ahh, it was impugned and encouraged for the irradiated food

and teh carpenter question was only III

evad, mekrob... remember Analogies 19-21, section 2? Those were hard and I can't recall right now >_<

do u remember what was III

I put the ....encourage one on the irradiated food one.... I have a question about the last one in the math section...I put 9-(3pie/2) or something like that...its was approximately 4.43 or something....HELP!

I've taken the SAT I twice for real and have never left any blank, but I always do on the practice tests. I have no clue why. I am always more prepared mentally durin the real test that i convicne myself i cna get it right, by at least eliminating. I think I guess right this time and might get a 700 or higher. Will colleges wonder why I got a 100 points higher just on one section? it has been a year. i thought that might raise a flag. doubtfully though

III was just that some carpenters make less than some plumbers
