Official Sat I Discussion January 2005

No, the only planes that separate it in half are the ones right down the middle, going through V.

Perhaps we should make a topic for each test. To avoid confusion.

yea i think the answer for relapse:illness was revert;posession... i eliminated other 5 but these 2 and guessed wrong:(

k. even though i started this thread, what is the point of killing yourself with these questions. Couldn't you be spending your time relaxing or w/e.

so that was the experimental section no worries m8

There was no choice for infinity but there was a choice of "more than 8".

Unctuous means insincere earnestness (thank you Testmasters!). But i dunno the answer

that cant be right, i got both of those math sections

Grid-in: (2^4002-2^4000)/2^4000 what was the answer?

I had mvmmvvm, I think my experimental was my first section, it had a problem in it where there were two different size squares connected and we had to find the perimeter, I got 16...can anyone confirm that this was the experimental??

and it was more than 8 becasue u hafta remember that all planes share the common point v and they are all 90 degrees to the base, so this means that any plane facing any direction and meets those specs can splite the pyramid in half.

dominus, i got 3 for (2^4002-2^4000)/2^4000

My S thought the test was pretty hard.

The answer for Unctuous : Earnest
Was Sanctimonious: Piety/religion/ i forgot it
Because sanctimonious means hypocritically devout and unctuous means insincerely earnest.

what did you guys get for the BIRD: PLUMAGE one------and wut did you guys get for the square that is extended indefinitely which asks how many regions can be formed?

bird:plumage, fish:scale

i also got three for the 2^4002-2^4000/2^4000

I took the SATS at a place where there were a lot of 7th and 8th graders for some johns hopkins thing, any chance they took the actual SAT, therefore effecting the curve?

are you sure its fish to scale becuase isnt plumage feathers, so cant if be mane is to horse?

Yo guys, do you think 2 wrong in math will come out to be a 780 or a 760? and do you think the curve in english is nice or hard for this test?

plumage covers a whole bird, scales cover the whole fish....scales:fish is much similer

yea.. i actually put mane and horse but i think the answer is scale and fish... scale covers entire body of a fish and plumage covers the entire body of a bird too.
