OFFICIAL SAT II Literature: Dec 3

That was hard...I was deciding between "union" and the other word that was in the same line...i think it was acknowledgement...i ended up putting union...prolly wrong

And is it possible my logic made sense..."or scant her former in despite" or w/e..."former" being her former appearance and him playing on that to justify the adultery?

that was one of the 8 I left blank...I thought maybe it was the "journey" or "life" god knows...good thing I left it blank...
parikhs, you prolly got it right....don't fret =)

pretty sure "it" referred back to audience... that was kinda tricky

yea it = audience

also the "wry" one... I really thought she was enthusiastic.. really really interested

I had audience for the "it" one

that makes sense--''audience''--so nothing on the one about the woman justifying doing what men do..."Or scant her former in despite" (I think I am prolly quoting that wrong again and again, but u get the gist)

NM...i get it now..

Does anyone have any idea how this one is going to be scaled? What do you guys think will get you a 700+?

i think this was an easier version than in the past

**** was mad hard...i had to do a lil peekin on my neighbor (just kidding) not

I thought it was pretty hard in comparison to the other one I took....those poems man, boy were they CONFUSING! It was that feeling of "well I kinda get it--I think--maybe I'm reading this all wrong--oh god..."

so everyone else is as much in the dark as I am on what raw scores will translate into...?

this one seemed a little easier than the barrons practice ones I took, anyone have similar experiences?

MY QUESTION: What did people put on the last passage about the attitudes of the newly wed husband and wife? For the wife I put despair, and for the husband I put self-pity, but I am very unsure on this.

Yeah I had despair for the wife, but put hesitation for the husband. He seemed to have never been in a situation like this, and didn't know how to act or think about his wife or the problem he's facing (my interpretation)

no, I skipped that one, but the reasoning every1 else had for self-pity seemed justifiable, he just seemed so miserable at the end, definitely self-pity
but to steer the conversation back to scores/difficulty, thoughts nation161?

gee, thanks for shooting down my answer :p

I have no idea how the scores will be curved... and for difficulty, I can't really compare it to anything else, since I didn't take practice tests (probably not a good idea) and this is the first time taking the Lit subject test.

Sorry didn't intend to be mean--I skipped it so it's not to my benefit--I just tried to help...

haha no no, I'm just kidding... I probably did get it wrong, but I thought that maybe there was some chance I was right
