OFFICIAL SAT II Literature: Dec 3

No worries, I had the same wishful thinking with a different question, but alas, I was wrong lol...it happens

was there a drama passage this time? I was just thinking about it and I don't think there was.

What was the answer to that question in the one about the senator when it asked which of these literary elements is not in this piece?
and the answer choices were:
- using dashes
- changing viewpoints
- present tense
- something about scene moving quickly
*I'm pretty sure I found all of them except the present tense, but that didn't make sense to me.....any thoughts?

The passage with the peacocks- wouldn't the answer to the father question be authoritative? I know it said that he was sick, but what would that tell about the father? I remember that he was barking orders at the younger mother when he was sick..

SAT Lit = torture. I remember sitting there thinking, "man, I knew I should have taken french..."

Anyway, anyone else have trouble on the love poem? I studied that one in class- thank budda since otherwise I would have had no clue where to start on that one. The feet question is other people's poetry?

For the senator: I forget the question, but the choices went something like this..
-humorous critical vignette
-American regionalism?

and then some others...

paungle - I put down switching viewpoints. I think throughout the entire piece the narration was third person. I don't remember it ever switching to the perspective of the senator or wife etc..

I put Switching Viewpoints.

that couldn't be the answer.

its a critical humorous vignette. definetely

immajap88: why not?

I put switching viewpoints, too...

Yah...that makes sense....it just was......awkward lol....another one of the eight I left blank...thank god again lol

and I put critical vignette as well....that's right

heh, I had no clue what vignette meant, but knew it was critical and humorous

Which prep books did you guys use to prepare?

All I really did was use SparkNotes and what we've done in AP Lit this year in class... so I'm not really sure of what good study guides are out there

princeton review

none and i regret it.
