OFFICIAL saturday PSAT discussion

Woah woah.. wrong question. It was the rare one....

hey raginng you post on aops right?
haha what's up ;p

"what faults does the author of passage 1 find in the author of passage 2's writing?"

It overestimates the value of keeping it in captivity

We're going to kill ourselves over disputing the wrong things XD

feck.. i got that one wrong too.. that's like four on the math ughhhhhhh
i thought it couldn't be (-5 0) because it asked for the point it intercepts the y axis.. wouldn't that mean it had to be 0 as the x coordinate?

Yup, I put the same thing as unluckycharms:

"'what faults does the author of passage 1 find in the author of passage 2's writing?'

It overestimates the value of keeping it in captivity"

Passage II listed all these reasons why keeping them captive would be a good idea, but Passage I said everything in captivity could be done in the wild.

"it intercepts the y axis"
It asked for x-axis :(

wow that sucks

Doh! I thought it said "y-axis" also (I put (0,-5))! #$%@!

In the error ID, how many answers did u guys get that were "no error"? I only put no error for about 2-3 of them..

What score should i expect, having missed
CR - less than two
Math - omitted 3 (2 being grid ins), i know one is wrong for sure - lets just say, 2 to 3 others wrong
Writing - one omitted question, about 5 wrong

what was the answer to the question about the last sentence of the painting passage?

the sentence was something about how the house had turned gray..

i had 2-3 no errors that were relatively close to each other...i thought something was wrong

also, is it right to say "a mere teaspoon of top soil"

I put 3 no error

RMac, You could probably expect about a 215

tx46 - i put the passing of time, i wasn't sure on this one

"what was the answer to the question about the last sentence of the painting passage?

the sentence was something about how the house had turned gray.."

I figured that it'd be "emotional" or "so passage of time."

I went with "time."

What did you guys get for the sentence completion question that had the choices of immaterial and irrevocable?

i put that the last sentence "sentimentalized the past" although it might have been indicated a passing in time.

for the mere teaspoon of top soil, that was right. the answer was b the next error.
