I was just wondering because the interviewer told me they would let me know as soon as possible just in case I wanted to apply to the partner firms, but my rec. didnt get submitted until a couple weeks after my interview.</p>

<p>As of yesterday, 1/7/11, I received an offer to join SEO for their I-Banking Summer internship program.</p>
<p>I just joined, but ive been reading over the fourm for a few months now.
I applied first round.
Had phone interview request then next day.
Had phone interview in mid november
Had in-person interview in mid december
This monday, 1/3/11 my rec. letter was just sent in
They called me intially on Thursday to offer it to me, but i didnt answer my phone
Called again yesterday, and I got the offer!</p>

<p>RVA: no, apparently they left me a message, but my phone sucks and never told me I had a message.</p>
<p>When they called to offer me the position, it was more of another quick interview, which was a little intimiating and caught me off-guard, then they offered it to me after about being on the phone for 10 minutes or so.</p>
<p>Adm, how was it a quick interview? Like what are some examples of things we should be ready for, is it something we should be studying for?</p>

<p>to me, it caught me a little off. I was walking into my apartment after work and they called me and asked if I had sometime to talk, it wasnt hard…but…it wasnt easy either lol.
Um, she asked me like…well…we have all your stuff…just had soem additional questions. Asked about my updated GPA, because my grades for last semester were not yet done before my interview. Asked if I had applied to any partner firms, and if I did which ones. Simple stuff.</p>
<p>Then she asked me…we really want to know WHY you want to do I-banking. Which I feel like ive answered every single time I talked to them, but explained that again. Which area in i-banking I would fit best in, and why. Why I am intrested in finance…again. Why my experience and me myself would be a good fit for SEO, and was I REALLY prepared if I were to get an offer to hit the ground running and do a good job. Then a few second pause, and they were like “one more thing…we want to offer the internship to you”. I guess it caught me off guard, all those questions, simply becaue I was mentally drained from the day. I got the call at about 6:30pm</p>

<p>This is a joke. 4.0 GPA, prior banking experience, top notch leadership, great essay, networked with SEO alums. Didn’t even get a phone call.</p>
<p>The “hard” questions that people are being asked are a joke. And honestly, the kids I’ve met who have received offers are not even close to being qualified. No wonder SEO kids get stuck with a stigma.</p>

<p>i haven’t been waitlisted, i got a phone screen, then in person, then follow-skype, then they told me they would contact me in january. i haven’t heard back yet</p>
