Official Spring 2012 Cornell Transfer Thread

okay, so I called them again, and the woman I spoke with really made it sound like it wasn’t a big deal atall. I would honestly say that asap is best, but getting the midterm grades in by Wednesday or Thursday would be preferred

I pretty much got the same response from admissions- that its not necessarily due for processing but is still required. So I’m not really sure how they use these midterms grades in their decision process but I would agree- get them in within the week.

I feel in limbo these days. One half of me has absolutely no idea where I’m going next semester, preferably and emphatically Cornell, and the other half of me is stuck finishing out the semester at my CC - and BECAUSE I don’t know where I’m going, I’m not really striving for anything. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a business major who always striving for information, but in terms of an educational setting…I don’t know. Last semester I was killing myself for grades for schools. Does this make any sense to anyone or am I rambling incoherently?

I am now able to log into housing !!! I know that this doesn’t mean anything in terms of admission, but still I feel so much better. I mean, I was unable to log in housing portal last friday but now this works!!!

good news, but be aware of the aem tricks that deadhead have mentioned. Anyways I thinks you are in since you are a GT.

Good luck everyone!

This makes perfect sense, this is EXACTLY how I am feeling. I find myself thinking about Cornell every couple hours-it’s almost all consuming. Trust me, you’re not alone.

@deadhead I sort of know how you feel. Personally, I know full well that I’m more likely to get a rejection than an acceptance but I would still like to have that closure sooner rather than later lol

lol unfortunately there’s that expression “theres a reason why God didn’t give snakes wings” haha thats us.

Me too. The suspense is killing me. I suspect that my app had at least a preliminary review but that’s it. Cornell ftw!

I started to hate every long night. Why can’t the admissions just work 24/7 ?

Note the update on the AppID page - says the following regarding transfers:

“Spring transfer applicants: Please note that spring transfer admissions decisions will not be available online and will be mailed to you by paper letter.”

So I’m guessing e-mail notification is NOT going to happen.

I would say the decisions will not be available on status checking website, but I don’t think “online” also means “email”.

I got an email today, I’m in!!

Congrats!!!

Congrats NYCmaria!

Thanks!! I’m very happy and surprised I thought they would torture me for a few more weeks! Good luck everyone!!

When did you get the e-mail?

Lol and would you mind putting up your stats? Congrats again!

@deadhead654 I would like to believe that GT and agreements go first, so don’t worry

lol I know I know, I’m just dying here.
