^ hahaha
10 char.

I think it's safe to say this is fake.

^^lol. Obviously, photoshop works wonders if you want to black out anything...

Don't forget to include your address and social security number... for identification reasons...

11/10 I loled at this

This stuff seems legit to me. Don't bully the poor guy.

Well if it's scanned post the bloody link!

alright guys, why doesn't someone just call up admissions and ask about likely letters... i doubt they wouldn't tell you about them if you ask

ngolsh314 and others with early approval letters: dont post your letter; dont post any more on your stats. There's nothing you can do to convince people who dont want to believe you. You will only start a new discussion on how you managed to make a fake letter or why your stats show you should or should not have been admitted. Its pointless and degrading. Clearly, Stanford thinks you are worth it, and you are, which is all that matters. Dont let this spoil your joy.

To all the doubters, just look at past links on the Stanford forum or other top schools to see that likely/early approval letters are just a fact of life.

i agree. there's really no point. i just wanted to connect with other people who got the letter, but its just turned into a bunch of people rabbling on about how this whole thing is fake. a very good reminder of why i don't like this site at all.

ngolsh I bet it was a big relief for u to use CCpost as a scapegoat, huh.. Wonder why?
LOL
Hahaha

Do you think it would be appropriate for me to ask a Stanford admissions counselor with which I have been e-mailing for some time now? I think it might be kind of annoying (for her), but I really want to know if these are real! I may call, has anyone done so?

It's amusing to see all of the disbelievers. I'm not interested in Stanford personally (too big and graduate-focused), but I came to this forum on CC precisely because my friend got a likely letter from Stanford that said exactly what the OP's posting said (including the scrawled "Come to Stanford" in, IMO, rather messy sharp handwriting). I saw a physical copy of the letter myself, so I have no doubts.

There's only one logical explanation for this... Keilexandra, ngolsh, and itsme are all the same person. This guy must have planned this entire rouse for at least a year... well guess what buddy, no one's buying it.

Judging by most of these posts, no matter how good the stats, some of you don't belong at Stanford. Go to Yale or Princeton, you will definitely always find an uptight conspiracy theorist group to hang with. ;) Out in the west people are waaay more laid back about stupid stuff like this.

Calm down...even if it was fake. Why would you care so much, if your confident enough you will just wait for your letters.

Don't call your own admission counselor. Ask a random admission counselor or just the person who picks up the phone. I'll probably call tomorrow because I have some questions for the admissions office.

Geez, you people are paranoid. I made an account in May 2008 after lurking for several months prior to that, and I'm approaching Senior Member in posts. I also have an established backlog of posts with NO interest in Stanford whatsoever. (I happen to think it's overrated... duck)

Lies! All lies!

i wash my hands of this crap.

sometimes i can't believe the power of the internet to help people collaborate.
too bad it promotes collaborative stupidity and collective ignorance, too.

beef, i'm not going to acknowledge your trolling with another post. please **** off of my thread.

to itsme123 and Keilexandra's friend, i hope to see you at freshman preview weekend.

Well said.

Unfortunately you'll be seeing Beef as well! :D!
