Yo! Join in and let's discuss about ourselves. I am from Nepal.

And I am from Armenia.

MI, America! I love Stanford its my dream :D

Hi
From hollandia, yaay

what are your guys stats and stuff?

Stanford is DEFINITELY one of my top choices if i actually get in… sigh. i applied to a few other ivies, but everywhere RD. ive taken 10 AP classes so far, 6 of which are this year. My SAT score isnt great tho, and this year is kicking my butt(my grades aren’t up to my usual standard). Im pretty nervous about hearing back from the colleges i applied too. im not big on sports but ive played tennis 3 years. I play the piano and paint for out of school activities. Community service - decent. I studied abroad last summer in Spain. Also, I worked pretty hard on my essays hoping that they would push me over but idk.

The new announcement on the Stanford Admissions web page says that there are over 32,000 applications for RD. We’re all screwed! XD

^I knew that the percentage admission is very low, but now that I see the total number of applications, it looks even more intimidating, lol.

Yeah, for RD, it’s going to be around 4% or something, haha.

oh man… what’re everyone’s stats?

^I don’t know the specific number for my GPA, but I got all As except for the B+ from English Honor in 11th grade. All my other stats are, to put it in a way that would save my fragile heart, not exceptional (speaking realistically, they are pretty bad). My total SAT score is 2010, my list of academic awards and EC is stale (the only activity I have participated consistently over 4 years is chess).

I would expect heavy rain at the end of March and beginning of April if I do get in, either that or the sign of a world-wide catastrophe (e.g. the world is invaded by Koopa and Goomba).

samee stanford is my dream. i def don’t have the academics stats, but im hoping my EC’s will help somewhat:(

4%??!?! Im screwed!!! I was hoping acceptance would be a little higher this year, or a miracle would happen, or I would cure cancer in the next two months. If not Im screwed.

Canada/China, first choice Stanford, ra ra!

Is there anyone who gets “email not found” at axess.stanford.edu? My commonapp shows that everything was submitted and downloaded 1/1/10.

I was wondering where this thread was, and never got around to making one myself :)

Northern California, USA. Whee. SAT’s are okay. EC’s are pretty good, I loved my supplement and poured my heart and soul into it, so it may pull me through… speaking optimistically, of course!

Good luck kiddios (is it weird that I feel older than you guys just because I applied early? Hahaha, sorry I don’t mean to be condescending. Feel free to yell at me )

I was a former SCEAer who got rejected. I hope you guys all get in.

Actually, there is another thread already made for this. It just died.

I had hope.
Until I read that 32,000 people applied RD. There’s no chance of getting in now.

Anonymous93: "Actually, there is another thread already made for this. It just died. "

Hmm… all the more reasons to post in this thread so that it doesn’t die, I guess.

That said, I think I should stay away from College Confidential until April when decision comes so that it won’t affect me too much in case of bad news. :p

i took a chance to apply, but i am most likely not going to get in. my stats are pretty decent, but stanford is definitely a reach. i feel mediocre-ly regular. i’m a good two years younger than my graduating class, but i’m not sure that’s not enough to distinguish me from the crowd of so many amazing people out there. no worries!

best of luck to everyone. i am really excited to get acceptance and rejection letters… haha.

drpvv, where in norcal if yu dont mind me asking?
