@jsungoh: Lol. I know. I was simply returning my own sarcasm. ;)

Don’t rule the weekend out entirely. For instance, Caltech released EA decisions on a Sunday at 9 AM of all times.

I say monday or tuesday. monday most likely. Gut feeling.

Well most privates are releasing the decisions on March 30th so maybe Stanford is too. Some colleges have released their decisions at 3am though. UC Santa Cruz did so this year.

My GC was told by a Stanford admissions representative that decisions will be sent out either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Hey, thanks originalthought! The first definitive answer on this thread!

Yay. Finally some concreteness :)

ok so I’m guessing tuesday. stanford won’t release decisions on the same day as the ivies. just the way it is.

^Yeah, I think it’s going to be Tuesday. Stanford always releases admissions before Ivies.

idk, they might want to do it Wednesday morning. That would be a good “surprise.” Just set it all up the day before and have it email at 9am or something.

Nah, they seem to like waiting until the end of the day (3PM Pacific). That way they can set the phones’ recording that admissions personnel are gone for the day.

LOL that’s probably true. ^

That’s also why they have generally preferred to release decisions on a Friday (and, when possible, the Friday before spring break begins, though this year they didn’t finish by then). It gives all the distraught people (especially the parents) a few days to calm down before they start bombarding admissions with calls.

Good luck, everyone. You’re all going to go to great colleges and have lots of opportunities, whether you wind up being one of the 94% or one of the 6%. Really. And remember this: even if you do get into Stanford or one of its peers, success is more about resilience, motivation and disciplilne than it is about getting a “golden ticket”. There are students here at Stanford, and at all the other top colleges, struggling because they haven’t yet developed those traits, even though they had all the amazing stats and credentials. It’s the kids who have learned to manage challenges that will succeed in college and then in whatever life they choose to live.

@zenkoan: Very good advice.

I can’t wait to see the decisions! Good luck everyone!!!

Love zenkoan’s advice!

Agreed Thanks zenkoan :)

blushing You’re very welcome. :)

The suspense is killing me.

So we’re all pretty sure that Stanford releases its decisions before the Ivies? I can’t decide which I’d rather find out first…
