*Official* Stanford REA 2015 Applicants' Discussion Thread

Whoa… crazy. But, well, great minds think alike :p

^

certainly do :p

I wonder if the people applying RD will be as active in terms of posting… the “Stanford 2015 Hopefuls” thread that I created for all applicants (applying both early and regular) currently has less posts than this one. Not sure if that means anything :D

All hail Chinese culture!

According to iGoogle, my horoscope says I’m supposed to socialize tonight, because “the feedback that you get from someone could transform your outlook on the future.” Any of you feel like altering my direction in life? XD

^It is still quite far from the application date… so it’ll probably pick up later?

Lets not talk about admit weekend… cuz if i don’t get in i will be very very disappointed that I don’t get to attend :p

Perhaps. :p

Haha, I agree. We should leave off discussing it until later…

This thread is still at 8,888 views. For some reason that makes me oddly happy.

Oh Stanford. I’m so in love with you.

^^I think they only update the page views on the hour. So we still have 23 lucky minutes 8D

^D’AGREE.

@ Jason: Awwww. Though I’m sure everyone else on this thread also is, otherwise we wouldn’t be applying SCEA :p

I thought i’d just let yall know :p

Hi! I’m a high schooler interested in environmental/political science. (sorry if this doesn’t apply to this discussion, can’t find out how to post a new thread) I’ve heard that Messiah College has a new integrated major combining the two (sustainability studies). Of course, Ivy League Schools are well ranked. I’ve heard Rutgers, SUNY ESF, and Cal-Berkeley are good to.

If any of the current students/alum/faculty would give their opinions on their respective programs, I would really appreciate it. :)

Sweet! I thought the 8,888 thing was pretty cool though… quite a coincidence. I’ve been on CC for over two years now and I don’t think I’ve seen a thread view statistic like that before :)

I just had this really weird idea… since we’re all in love with Stanford, wouldn’t it be funny if we made videos proposing to it? XD we could combine them into one. It’d be the Stanford SCEA '15 College Confidential Thread’s Mass Proposal of Matrimony.

@ eagledrummer23: I believe Stanford has some pretty good environmental sustainability and political science programs, so you might want to check out their website for more information. Just so you know, Stanford isn’t actually part of the Ivy League, although it is also up there in terms of selectivity and prestige. :)

Ahh these posts are so silly to read. CC certainly is an awesome resource to have in the applying to college process  that being said, it’s Saturday night! Y’all need to go out and party instead of sitting on CC!

I lol’ed pretty hard at this. It would be quite amusing indeed :D

@eagledrummer: To create a new thread, you should go to a category of threads and click on the ‘New Thread’ button, which is under any ‘Hot Topics’/‘Featured Discussions’, in the part of the page above where all the threads are listed.

You need to go somewhere else for that, though, because pretty much everyone here is a prospective student, and we’re all about Stanford- no Messiah discussion here! (And I love how you mention UC Berkeley in your post, but not Stanford. XDDD)

@courtney: pot, meet kettle; kettle, pot?

ALSO, WE ARE NOW BEATING YALE. OHHHHHHH YES.

We are? Awesome. :)
