Eh, well, my favorite quote…

…is probably this poem. :D

[Hate Poem by Julie Sheehan : The Poetry Foundation [poem] : Find Poems and Poets. Discover Poetry.](Hate Poem by Julie Sheehan | Poetry Foundation)

You do have to read most or all of it to get it, though!

@ nerdess: Well, it WAS sunny a while ago, but now it’s all cloudy. Not sure what’s up with the weather these days… it’s being bipolar :stuck_out_tongue:

Speaking of favorite quotes:
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” ~John 8:32
“Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.” ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Also, everyone should read “Desiderata” by Max Ehrmann :D

My favorite quote of all time: “Pick me. Choose me. Love me.”- Meredith Grey, Grey’s Anatomy.

Sure, she was talking about love. But college admission is applicable here too :)

and another one of my personal favorites, from The Little Prince:
“You are beautiful, but you are empty. One could not die for you. To be sure, an ordinary passerby would think that my rose looked just like you–the rose that belongs to me.”

crmichi- What the H E L L?!?! (Had to space out the letters so the word would show up and not get asterisked) What’s wrong with you, fool?!

@courtney

it’s just a funny quote, you can relax. it’s from a very good song actually.
actually good = catchy.

this quote is going on my senior page
“High school is not about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself”

Wale- hahaha. Only DC artist to get any airplay outside of the area in, you know, ever.

well this: [YouTube - YING YANG TWINS-PULL MY HAIR](<a href=“YING YANG TWINS-PULL MY HAIR - YouTube”>YING YANG TWINS-PULL MY HAIR - YouTube) is a song too. With lyrics. Doesn’t mean there applicable. EVER.
Btw, don’t watch if you’re sensitive. This is NOT an appropriate song in any way…

However, I may boast that I can rap every word ;)

@Courtney: So my question is… if you’re offended by crmichi’s quote, then why can you rap every word of that song?

nonono! I’m not offended! I just think it wasn’t appropriate in the situation. DON’T PICK ANY MORE FIGHTS WITH ME, WULFRAN. I’M FEELIN’ FEISTY TONIGHT.

who cares about being appropriate!?!?! WE ARE TEENAGERS
Candy- The Pack is one of my favorite songs to rap to

Oh and yes…even lil wayne and wale have applicable lyrics

^^ XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

^

I love this too :D

@wulfran, thanks for the backup
@courtney, keep your pants on

“It’s my ■■■■■ I can do what I want. Yeah, I’m a big girl now!”
STORY OF MY FRESHMAN YEAR.

Omg tmi tmi tmi tmi tmi

Kay woman, CHILL OUT.

You wanted inappropriate, YOU GOT IT. BAM.

RIIIIIIIIIGHT…moving on…

What is everyone planning on majoring in?

…
unexpected digression…O.O

major? (I love how Stanford doesn’t let you declare your major till end of Soph yr!)
I’m juggling among three (drastically different) areas:
bio/biomed sciences
business
pre-law

Linguistics and classics double major all the way! :D

I was planning to double-major in English and something else up until the start of this year, but my English teacher this year is making me really re-think that :frowning: Right now I’m thinking History or English and something else, with a minor in Creative Writing. I want to look into computer science :slight_smile: I should also take a look into Human Biology, since that’s exactly my interest in bio… although I have no idea what job I’d actually want to do that involved biology. XD
