anybody involved in their state association of student councils?

I want to major in Science, Technology, and Society. I really want to get involved with research in audio engineering, and am considering majoring in mechE as a path to audio engineering. I’m not sure yet, but luckily we’ve got plenty of time to pick our majors!

All credentials processed!!

Has anyone received emails from Stanford Admissions yet? I mean regarding the application, but other than the emails regarding credentials generated through Axess? I just got one, very excited but it seems really soon considering I just submitted on Thursday!

So I had my interview today.
The interviewer told me that the interview is confidential, so I will just briefly describe it.
The interview lasted an hour and interviewer had a set of questions ready to help develop the conversation. Most of the time was spent talking about subjects that genuinely interest me and what I have done so far in those subjects. I got an opportunity to ask questions as well. It almost seemed like a nice chat because the interviewer was so nice.
When I asked, the interviewer told me that all she knows about the admission process is that each application is reviewed by a group of officers that gather around a round table to discuss each application. All of the officers in the group vote to decide whether or not the applicant should be admitted. Also, it seems that the admission decisions for the REA applications are made starting after Thanksgiving.

@trigger20
what was the email about?

@Eucliiris congratulations, it sounds like the interview went really well for you!!

The subject was “Your Stanford Application - ACTION REQUIRED” and it told me they had received the application. It gave me several things to do such as put their emails into address book, check AXESS for the credentials, and verify my name and mailing address. It was addressed from the director Colleen Lim.

So nothing very new, but exciting all the same!

anybody know how to get an interview if there are interviews in your area?

They will contact you through email.
