You make a point with amount of mail in Dec. Let’s hope and pray !
@jumbletumbles - I would think the consortium colleges have made the final list of invitees by now, the letters need to be printed and then reviewed before putting them in envelops for mailing, and each of this step would take time. I heard that we should expect a letter from the Med school as well. So if a kid gets invited from 2 consortium college for interview, they will also get a letter from Med school for their section of interview.
Waiting is such a pain .
I guess we kind of glazed over the consortium of undergrads input into interview candidate selections.
We’d been under the impression that if invited to interview, students would be interviewed by all 3 undergrads + Neomed & only when it came time to rank that the undergrads made their short lists via ranking or omitting.
So you’re saying that a student could potentially be invited to interview only with 1 or 2 undergrad(s) & Neomed, not all of them?
And I stand corrected- notification is in March this year. When in March? No idea! But apparently March sometime.

@jumbletumbles - Yes, as I understand from past applicant posts, an applicant /student could potentially be invited to interview only with 1 or 2 undergrad(s) & Neomed, not all of them.
Also see When applying to all three universities, how is it determined where I will attend? in the pdf link below, which is a bit vague I must say…

When applying to all three universities, how is it determined where I will attend?
This is based on which universities offer you an interview. If you are selected for an interview, you will be asked to rank-order the universities where you interviewed and the admissions committees at each university will rank order interviewees. Then a computerized match program is done at NEOMED to optimize the rank order lists of the applicants.
@jumbletumbles - See the statement, “This is based on which universities offer you an interview”, sounds like there could be consortium college/s who may not offer an applicant an interview.
Good luck to everyone who applied to NEOMED as interview decisions get mailed out today!!!
Good luck to eveyone.
All let us know if you receive your mails
Accepted to YU undergrad (via Neomed app) today. Snail Mail letter.
Who else has received anything? Wondering if all the undergrads mailed out the same day or if YU was just first to hit the mail.
@jumbletumbles - Congrats ! Thanks for posting. That was quick. Do you live close to YU? Congrats ! Does that packet contain both NEOMED invite and YU invite ? I am out of my home city, so no way to check
No, letter was just UG acceptance. Specifically says it’s NOT a decision for their NEOMED partnered BSMD program. Says that decision will come separately.
And no, we aren’t close to Youngstown at all so it was rather surprising.
I’m very curious how the financial aid portion of this all works. We weren’t promoted nor did we submit any financials. So I’m assuming FAFSA, FA application, scholarships, and any honors college stuff for any of the 3 come in play after UG decisions. Right? Anyone have any insight on how that part works into the Neomed process?
It seems that last year’s applicants received both snail mail AND email notification of interview invitation decision. Has anyone received any emails?

I have not yet received any emails.
Anyone received their mail yet ? I can only wonder about mine since I am not in home city right now.
Received interview invites today! It’s absolutely amazing & heartwarming to see my son’s excitement!
Anyone else receive anything yet?
Received interview letter today.
@Pras2016 congrats! And good luck to your son!
@Pras2016 & @jumbletumbles - Congrats to you both. Can you tell me some highlights about the packet? I still have yet to find out.
