Yeah, @music1990 it’s nice to have some people in the same boat.
@soda4schrodinger The whole thing with Nepolitano and Brown is extremely scary, and not just from the tuition aspect. They want to increase out of state admits, which mean they would decrease in state admits. So our chances are going down. So frusturating.
Ugh, I’m just feeling so worried. Here are some of my stats since others shared:
History major
3.8 transfer GPA
Volunteered as a tutor for six months and at my church in child care
Work part time
Personal essays were solid: explained why I changed my major to history last year and a little about challenges I have faced.
My fear is two things:
I don’t have one of my electives that they required for transfer. I took the wrong course, and though it is transferable, it’s not listed on the assist page as a qualifying elective.
Also, I changed my major just last year, so I’m hoping they don’t hold it against me.
I’m getting kind of anxious as well! I’ve already heard back from UCSD and will go to UCSD as a back up to UCLA or Cali. However, I’m still anxious to hear back from both Cali and UCLA.
@hubbahub I don’t know if you have your question answered yet or not, but I applied to Berkeley last year with about 53 ish CC units + AP credits to reach the 60 unit requirement and I was accepted. So don’t worry about where the units are coming from, as long as they reach 60 you should be fine.
