Do you guys think political science is impacted?
@Panduhr What was the most impacted major for your year?
@ouigarcon may I ask where you got that info?
@Stressout I don’t want to cause people to become frightened or lose hope just because of data/observations from previous years. You are free to look at past UCD Waitlist threads through the years to see what majors did not accept waitlisted students (usually towards the end of the thread), but I think it may cause you additional unnecessary stress.
Since the school of BioSci forms cohorts for students to become well-acquainted with each other, I have met a lot of NPB majors who were accepted from the waitlist.
Weren’t the first wave decisions supposed to come out today? I’m so impatient ugh!
They have to lets us know soon right?? I mean #:-S It would be reasonable that Davis would let us know since it’s the same time as Last Year?..
yeah last year it started on the 16th (a tuesday)
Yea, I thought they were going to come out today too
can someone please call admissions and try to get an exact or more specific date out of them?
I’ve called them at least six times in the past week and every single person who responds has a vague answer. Honestly I think waiting is a better option bc the students there don’t have much info to give to us @climber1
I’ve called almost every day (lol) and yeah, I get the same generic answer every time. They have told me that they aren’t allowed to say when they will be released or that their office doesn’t even have the information yet. So yeah, calling won’t really help that much at this point. It is interesting though because on last year’s waitlist forum someone called and they told them the morning of the 16th that they were going to be released. So idk. It’s a mess. I’ll probably call again tomorrow
This has been the strangest year for UCs all around. Who knows how many UCD waiting list spaces there will even be,There were so many applicants and rejections at UCI and UCSB. Davis may have had more SIRs than expected. But please just let us know one way or the other ASAP!
@2022Fall that’s definitely the right answer. It is better to think it is highly possible to get rejected.
How important are second semester grades for the waitlist?
@classofbroke2022 if u don’t get a result in may then they’re kind of important but otherwise i dont think they matter too much
Just as long as you don’t get a D because they will revoke your admission.
Called again. They’re not going to release anything until they evaluate all of the applications. They’re not done w/ them yet so decisions could be released any time this week or next week.
Thanks to @ndhi786 and everyone else who has called everyday and reported on here! This waiting game is such a pain
Even though I’m not sure of the number, the fact that it’s mid-may and they’re still looking through stuff means that there must be at least some people getting taken off the waitlist and getting accepted otherwise they would’ve just sent everyone rejections already. I just hope I’m one of them who gets taken off and accepted… :0 knock on wood
They said that they would notify us no later than June 30. Maybe the first wave is later this year. If the notification date was earlier last year, than it would make since that the first wave was earlier as well.
