I feel like nobody got off the waitlist 
The UCs have been so difficult this year

With the crazy competition this year, I think most of the people who got accepted to UC Davis had to accept the offer so I wouldn’t be surprised if almost nobody gets accepted from the waitlist. Also, UCs have been getting inadequate funding causing them to accept more international students who are willing to pay more so our chances are even further decreases. Good luck everybody.
What colleges or majors do you think Davis would accept if there was limited space? College of Biological Sciences?
@asdfghjkl2022 I don’t think there’s a particular major that they’ll focus on. It’s probably whatever major/school has spots available bc the applicants who were initially accepted did not accept those spots
Does Davis usually accept more students than it has spots available bc they know that not all of them are going to SIR to Davis?

The acceptance rate this year was very low though. If I remember correctly, it was only 20 something%. Let’s not give up hope guys!

@mapletree18 on the rejections of Davis it had said that accepted a freshmen class of 5,900
@asdfghjkl2022: UCD has spots for 5900 in-coming Freshman but they usually accept around 3x as many since not all admitted students enroll so until they post the actual # of Freshman admitted vs. applied, there is no way to calculate the acceptance rate.
I have called the admissions office today they said that they have sent the first wave. Also said that they still have some spots available and they will release it by the end of this month.
Has anyone you guys know been accepted in the first wave? I’m still waiting but I wonder if that’s cause I just updated some spring grades
@california2017 @galonso01 I called admissions and they said that they haven’t notified anyone yet. I think if they sent out the first wave, people here would have reported getting in. The person I spoke to said nothing about whether or not spots were available. However, the person I spoke to wasn’t an admissions officer so they might not have the most up to date information
yeah wouldn’t at least one person here have gotten in and said smth about it if the first wave was already sound out
i don’t think the first wave is out bc i don’t see anyone talking about it on here or on reddit or social media
Yeh I called the admissions twice and they both said there has been a few waves but I don’t think they know what they were talking about cause they sounded unsure. If the first wave did come out we would’ve known
I’m pretty sure that the admissions officers don’t tell the students that work at the admissions desk all of the details. A lot of the things that students tell you when they answer the phone are educated guesses but they don’t really know.
