Official UCB Appeals Form

i sent in an appeals letter too... i think somebody asked this earlier, but what did u guys write for the new and compelling information?

i have an eating disorder, so thats what i wrote about. i dont know why i didnt bring it up in the first round, but i def emphasized that in my letter... and how i raised my GPA in the midst of it and got on the dean's list.

What did everyone include in their appeal besides the appeal letter?

hope you guys will be reading this in the near future:

"We have re-evaluated your application, and we are pleased to offer you admission for the fall term 2006! Please complete the on-line Statement of Intention to Register (SIR) by May 11th to ensure a space at Berkeley. If you plan to live on campus, and have not already submitted your housing application, we recommend you apply for housing as soon as possible." :D

yeah, congrats nicopico!!! Go bears =)

^I didn't appeal. That message was stolen from another thread discussing freshman appeals. :D

haaa...yeah, freshmen appeal...

Good luck to everyone who did though...

Congratz! Did you send it the very next day. May 11th !

Reachin4thestars...he copied and pasted that...not his.

damn you guys are up early. I thought I was CCs only true insomniac.

It's especially bad now that school's over but summer hasn't really begun!

haha gabe, which CalSo sess are you going to?

22nd .

Have any of you guys heard any news of your appeals? I am wondering when we will know the result of the appeal.. I am getting nervous. As my second choice is UCLA, will sending the SIR to UCLA jeopardize my chances of appeal to Berkeley?

Doesn't Berkeley say that if your appeal is postmarked by the 15th they'll probably get back to you by June 1st?

so i just called berkeley to tell them that my dr missed the deadline of may 15th to send in stuff, and asked if i should still send it anyway.

she said send it in immediately, so i'm guessing the admissions committe is really gonna push it until june 1st for these appeals.

They answered the phone on Sunday?

friday, my bad

However, UCLA has to receive the transcript by June 1st. I asked the admission office, and they said that you can only send 1 transcript to one UC. So, I have to obviously send the transcript to UCLA at least on 30 May. What should I do if by then I havent heard from Berkeley? Thats why I am asking maybe from the past year transfer appeals, when did you guys hear back from Berkeley.

Huh? You can send as many transcripts as you want to as many schools as you want. Do you mean the SIR? You can actually submit a SIR and then change your mind: you lose the $100.
