OFFICIAL UChicago EA Class of 2017 Results Thread!

On the uchicago website it says that the admissions office will be closed December 21st putting that option of an admissions decision date to rest.

I called a day or two ago and they told me that the date would most likely fall in between 15-20.

Hello, everyone!
A couple of my friends that also applied EA to UChicago told me that the decision was coming out the 17th. Just to let everyone know!

aquamay14, there is no reason they would know better than any one else on this thread does when the decisions will come out. The admissions office isn’t telling yet, so they likely do not have any inside info. Although if we had a betting pool, I would pick the 17th just because of the pattern from last year. :)

Regardless of when decisions are released, I wish you all the very best of luck! Rest assured, that you will end up at a place you love and are happy.

Of course the admissions office is closed on that day… That’s the day the world ends!

Alright, I just got the email about missing financial documents.

ughhh i haven’t gotten any email… i’m so upset… preparing for a rejection -_-;;

@PWang2017 Oh my gosh it all makes sense now. Hopefully we’ll all find out before then

It probably is just a random scan elloelise. I don’t think the Chicago admissions office is open on a Saturday at this time. I wouldn’t worry.

I’m missing financial documents too >.<

I just called (Saturday, today) the Office of Aid at 5:00 central time. They answered.

Should I send the missing financial documents now? or wait until Monday?

AwkwardPenguin15: Send, Now. asap. they do work on Saturday I think. I’ve gotten emails on Saturdays before.

Alright, will do. Thanks :3

Alright… So I don’t know. Perhaps the Aid department is open but I still don’t really think it has much to do with getting into the school. But at the same time, it would be rather confusing for them to ask us for financial aid documents if we weren’t accepted. I don’t want to jinx anything though. knock on wood.

Tawarren why did u call?

if u are domestic, FA and admissions are dealt in two different offices Magentaturtle

Yeah, I understand that. But like someone else said, why would they request for financial aid documents from someone that may not be in the school? Wouldn’t that be a tremendous waste of time for them to create financial aid packages for all the applicants, then delete the ones that don’t get in?

“But at the same time, it would be rather confusing for them to ask us for financial aid documents if we weren’t accepted. I don’t want to jinx anything though. knock on wood.”

my heart sank when I read that knowing my finaid was missing. then i JUST checked my email and saw that I had gotten that same email. yeeeeees. but we do have to remember that the financial aid department is completely separate from the admissions department in uc. i think they’re even in different buildings.
