Good luck to everyone else!!!

You should tell the admissions office about this immediately... this is a huge mistake and they'll want to know about it.

That was to Apollo1331.

With regards to Apollo's non-predicament, he HAS to enroll at Rice and decline Chicago. This does not violate Chicago's EA policy. There really is no further discussion needed.

You're absolutely right in every way. But don't you think that Chicago's admissions office would like to know that they made this mistake? This is why Apollo should contact them.

What's the mistake?

Oh, I just noticed...anyways, it's still no big deal, and no rush, since even if he is in fact accepted at Chicago, he'll still be going to Rice.

good point, jpps1

General Comments: i was very scared as i saw the number of very qualified candidates get deferred on these threads... i was consistently worried my application didn't reflect my intellectual curiousity well enough but i guess it did?

what the hell does it mean to be brown?that is disgusting

How is that different than "black" or "white" or "yellow" or "red"? I dunno what sort of disgust you are talking about.

Uh oh... the political correctness police are here! :D

I'm not PC, but rob's comment doesn't make sense to me. I just don't see why he would bother posting something like that.

what kind of person says brown? where are you from that you are brown?

uh..india/pakistan/middle east.

i'm a brownie, i'm from south india. it's pretty common place for us to refer to ourselves as brown. just as some chinese people say that they're yellow.

To rephrase what I said before: who cares?

JackBauer: The PC police.
