Wish I applied, but UChicago was one of the ones I skipped out on this year (low rate + app fee, short on time). Good luck to everyone in this thread, it’s an exciting time. 
@rvyuan Thank you! I’m super excited about it. I feel you though. UChicago, whichever way the decision goes, is kind of a “whatever” school for me. Not that it isn’t a fantastic university, by any means.
@CCCtransfer0613 I was scared by the CORE lol and the programs/activities are not better than some schools applied with lower rank. That’s why I’m not quite passionate about it.

Just out of curiosity, why you guys applied for UChi if you don’t really want to attend it? Personally, if UChi wasn’t my dream school, I wouldn’t have wasted time and money on it, I mean the acceptance rate is insanely low, also among all those universities in the same low acceptance rate range it is not the best. Since it is a terrible choice of backup college, I don’t see why you try for it
@gbmabuoc Don’t get me wrong, going to UChi would be an honor. My disposition towards it is mostly due to the low acceptance rate and not wanting to get my hopes up. I applied out of curiosity, because it’s a world class university in my favorite city, and because it presents an academically challenging environment. My concern is that I won’t fit into the college, thus another reason why it’s not my first choice (Yes, I’ve visited the campus).

@CCCtransfer0613 I fully understand you, I guess I can be cool about the result because I’ve been rejected once and I know that if they reject me again it is because I am not good enough. I have made some grand plan in the beginning of my sophomore year to get into Uchicago but I have achieved none of them. I really really want to get in but now I can accept any result. @gbmabuoc A rejection doesn’t necessarily mean that you aren’t good enough. It’s just that the school was looking for something different.
I just called the admissions office and they said that decisions are released on a rolling basis, and that they’ve already begun releasing them.

Oh, do you guys know if they send out an email or if you gotta check your portal?
