Just got accepted off of the waitlist to my alternate major, which is physics!
Now I must choose. Physics at UCSD, or physics at UCI… I’m not sure what to do. 
@uisforutah ucsd student here. our physics program is challenging but pretty badass.
@DoctorP That’s what I hear, and I really like what UCSD has to offer. I’m leaning towards computational physics as a backdoor into Jacobs to take a few engineering classes since I was originally a EE major. I don’t think UCI offers the same type of program.
I do have a question for you though. Is it possible to finish in 2 years at SD as a physics major without going insane?

@uisforutah i think as a transfer you should be able to graduate in two years, although if you really wanna guarantee it i’d take that lower div physics prereq this summer if possible. It’s probably a prereq for a lot of upper divs.

@BIMguy UCI is now moving back up in the rankings. I just visited the Financial Aid office, and they’re giving me about $1,000 more than UCSD in grant money. I’ll be visiting the physics department tomorrow to have a chat and I’ll go from there.

So is that the end of wait list admits? I just got accepted off the wait list for UCSD, but it’s undeclared so I still have my fingers crossed for UCI.
