<p>Got into UCSC and UCSB on first wave today, nothing from UCR(TAG) and UCI.</p>
<p>What I think would be really helpful are for folks to note the CC they attended. City College SB admits hundreds to UCSB, just as Santa Monica College admits about 400+ to UCLA. DeAnza College in Cupertino admits several hundred to all the top UCs. Whereas my daughter’s very well-regarded CC in the Bay Area admitted 27 to UCLA same year as stats above. </p>
<p>I found a page somewhere that broke down admittance by CC. It was a mind-bender. My daughter has 4.0, Comm major, and UCSB is her TAG, but the sense I am getting is there are a lot of other issues at play. Comm is impacted and yet someone already got admitted with a 3.4 GPA. People aren’t realizing the massive importance of the CC you attended. I will try and find the link.</p>
