^congratz! and good luck with MIT

It seems that everyone accepted to Engineering is either,
a) An Illinois resident
b) Has exceptionally good test scores and grades.

My RD chances seem bleak…

I didn’t get an orange packet:-(

Garggaurav, don’t be so down. I got into Engineering as OOS with a low ACT score. Just make sure your essay shows you’re truly interested in UIUC and what it has to offer; I think my essays really helped me.

I second this notion^. My uiuc essays were definitely some of my best app essays and i think they helped a lot.

Mine weren’t that great…still!!!

Good luck evryone

Thanks. I think my essays are great, but none of them says anything about UIUC!!!
I love both my UIUC essays, but my topics didn’t require me to talk about UIUC. One was about a past experience, and one was about my love for Computer Engineering.

Btw, my SAT score is 1410 (R+M) Is that good for UIUC?

That seems Fine

My son was also accepted- College of Media- we are in-state. He was also accepted at Indiana Univ, Univ of Missouri ( Missou) & Univ of Kansas.

How many students does uiuc accepted from the deferred list? I applied priority and got deferred from electrical engineering.

If your official transcripts show a slight variation with the grades in the SRAR , can you be denied at a later stage keeping in mind that originally you were admitted to UIUC.
Thanks !

I mean we’re all human. I’m sure UIUC would’t mind so much if it were 1 grade or something
