When you go to the Freshman Admitted Checklist Page, there is a grey box just after the basic student information called Honors. (It’s listed as an honor.) This is right before the accepted box. There may be other ways to find it, but this is how it looks on my son’s app.
@Lazertazer0 Also a current CS student here. I just finished my first semester and only took the introductory CS course so not too difficult if you have a knowledge of programming already, but I’ve heard it gets quite difficult (Really hard in some cases) as you progress through the CS course track.
Also, I think GPA was a large factor in admissions in the last few years because I had a paltry 32 ACT but 3.9 UW when I applied.

Has any body received a mail from illinois referring to why the decission has been deffered? Is it also written that " you have high academic credentials"

S Deferred CS. 1580 New SAT, 3.91 OOS but living outside USA. Received an email today saying that he was deferred because he had applied to a very competitive major and that they will evaluate him against the entire pool for CS and decide by Feb 3.
Is it written in mail that they recognise the applicants strong academic credential ??
yeah. I guess its the standard response sent to all the deferred candidates.
