Official UMICH class of 2014 Accepted Thread!!!!

woooh the facebook group makes it seem so official! i’m excited :)

How liberal is the Political Science department staff? And has anyone experienced problems with TAs?

Just joined the fb group wooo

woooh polsci! thats what i want to do. and im hope its hella liberal

what facebook group is this? is it Accepted: UM class of '14?

and jack: you bet your a$$ it’s gonna be liberal lol

yeah that’s the group

haha good i’m so sick of living in texas. so fn conservative.

Hahah glad you lovee the group guys :)

And ps…
it’s HELLA liberal.
Hahah, blehh

woo! Jack is a liberal! That makes two of us! Luckily, I live in Michigan though. :D

ok. so i’m curious as to what people think of the rc within lsa. my friends and i all applied to the rc because we had heard it was really nice, but then my older sister told me all the weird kids went there and it was too secluded, so i shouldn’t go to the rc. what have you guys heard/know about the residential college??

blind: yeea! liberal for sure. i wish i lived in michigan, i just realized that everyones going to know each other since it’s a state school haha. i’m going to have a hard time meeting people/adjusting to the cold. i die when it’s less then 60 degrees here…

^ don’t worry about meeting people…but the cold will get ya for sure haha

Yay! I’m conservative! Haha, but we can still be friends LOL.

I got accepted. lemme see where else i get accepted before i make a move

I got deferred at ross :frowning: Does anyone know how difficult it is to get in after being Deferred?

Haha, that makes two of us. Well, I’m more of a Libertarian Objectivist. I’m just worried about the PolySci department having some crazy Leftist professor left over from the Weathermen…

I’m more moderate than conservative, but I lean to the right.

haha i’m not insanely liberal but i’m definitely more liberal than conservative. that probably has to do with living in a state surrounded with a bunch conservative people who have no basis or justification for their conservatism.

yeah the cold is going to kill but i’m still worried about meeting people. i only know one person from my school who got accepted to mich and he’s probably not even going to go. plus the fact that it’s a state school and it’s easier to get in if you’re IS means a bunch of people IS are going to be in and allllll know eachother haha. kind of like what would happen if I went to UT…

Well, after four years with people who have no basis or justification for their liberalism, you might just come out a moderate! :P

You’re from Texas, right? It’s a nice place, savor it while you still can! (Weather, tax, and job-wise, at least. Not a fan of the Southern drawl or the war-mongering, myself). You’re about to come to one of the biggest failed liberal experiments in America. A2 is nice, but I wouldn’t recommend going to Detroit, Flint, Pontiac, etc.

The cold isn’t horrible, considering I’ve lived here my whole life and I hate it. Get a good coat and you’ll be fine. It’s the little but you are outside that rough, everywhere inside will be nice and toasty. And everyone will need to make friends, I mean I know about 10 kids there/ going there. But still, you’ll meet kids in the dorms and classes. It won’t be a problem man, don’t worry about it. Just don’t be an ass to everyone.
