Yeah, some people should seek psychiatric help. Get a life! This really makes me sick! Who does this? Who gets a thrill from lying on a college thread?! My God, it’s absurd.

Blogspot is blocked by chinese government…anyone can help to paste the recent blog here?

Amen! That’s what I need, TRUTH! NOT LIES! I thought this thread was much more creditable then that, I suppose not.

I hope you guys are not referring to my posts. What I have posted is completely true. I called admissions this morning and was told that literally word for word. I even asked regarding the letters to see if it was true. Like I said, she confirmed that letters would come after. Remember guys, this is a forum where people are going to talk about things that they have or might not have heard. It’s up to you to dismiss the information that you find to be false and accept what you want to. Hopefully decisions come out soon and best of luck to you all.

Trolls happen. Now they have seen you get agitated, they’re going to start swarming like sharks.

Just be patient. I don’t think it’s a wise investment of emotion to go on verbal tirades.

@ Collegeboy1010, my posts are not directed towards you. I actually believe decisions will be posted this Friday (or at least I am really hoping!)

@KevAquarius, I don’t believe anyone up here has gone on an emotional tirade. For those of us who are new, unlike you, you have been a member since 2010, this whole process has been unfamiliar to alot of us, and we are seeking comfort and answers. We when come to blogs like this we are expecting the truth, we aren’t expecting imposters posing as a future transfer UNC student. I will say again, I believe anyone doing this should seek professional help, and I mean that with all sincerity.

By the way, I spoke to admissions just now, and NO letters have been mailed. None. Not yesterday, not today.

Okay, thanks. I just read the blog so who knows when they will be out. Fingers crossed for this Friday though.

Ditto guys!

Like what they told me, all decisions by the 27th. It could mean some on 20th, and some on the 27th. They were vague when they responded, I imagine they get bombarded by these types of questions. I’m no ■■■■■, I’m sure my chances are slim, but I’m nervous and anxious to find out just like the rest of you

Here’s something I think we can all agree on… we’re gonna hear back eventually. No matter how much time we spend discussing that fact on here though… it won’t change. As for me, I’m too busy dying from anticipation. Yep.

Hope everyone’s having a great day! Haha.

Hey everyone. Thought you might like to know:

“We’ve had a lot of chatter in the comments about transfer decisions so I thought it might be helpful to address these here. We experienced a 15% increase in transfer applications for Fall 2012 (for a total of just over 3,000), so it’s taking us a little longer than we had originally planned to review these applications. That being said, we know that the waiting is tough and we are so grateful for your patience as we complete our work. We use the same holistic approach to review our transfer applications as we do our first-year applications, and Julie’s post from earlier this year gives great insight into all the things that have to happen before we can release decisions.”

“We do not have a specific date or time that transfer decisions will be available yet, but they will be available by the end of April. At this time, we do not anticipate adjusting the enrollment deadline, which for transfer students is still May 16; of course, if that changes, we’ll let you know. Transfer credit evaluations for admitted students should be available at approximately the same time as decisions, so you’ll be able to review this in making your decision.”

I know it won’t help to ease the anxiety, but at least they finally updated their blog in regards to transfers.

cool 1ochar…

So basically we are thinking - some decisions will be received on the 20th (this Friday) and THE REST will be received on the 27th?

I’m willing to bet it will be next friday. The sole purpose being they are going to release transfer credit evaluations at the same time as admission decisions, which on their own may take a week or two to do.

I got this email from UNC in the morning:

Hello,
Thanks for your patience. If you applied for transfer admission and meet our March 1 deadline, you will be notified of our decision between April 16-20.
Official decision letters are mailed to each student’s home address. As a courtesy, we also post decisions on each student’s MyUNC account.
Please let us know if we may assist you further.
Sincerely,
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

So it’s pretty clear that we will have the final decisions in just one or two days. BTW, I’m applying as a first-year transfer(international), u think UNC would put me in the freshman pool or the first-year transfer pool???

Penny2012 - It depends on how many credits you’ve got transferring in.

Freshman have fewer than 15 transferable credits.
Sophomores have between 15 and 50.9.
Juniors have 51 or more.

[Transferring to Carolina](http://admissions.unc.edu/Apply/Transfer_Students/Class_Standing.html)

Hope that helps!

I’m not sure how many transferrable credits I have, but it’s verly likely a figure less than 15. My common app status is first-year standing transfer, and UNC said they would evaluate applicants like me within the context of other students applying for first-year classes too. I just don’t understand what exactly does "other students"mean, are they freshman applicants on the waitlist or transfer applicants similar to me??? I’m international applicant, so it’s really important for me. You all know that the admission rate of international freshman is extremely low…

Try calling them today because they can give you a definite (and correct) answer. Good luck!

Oh nice! Now I’m stoked! Thanks so much for posting that e-mail. Looks like this Friday will be the day. Good luck all.
