Waiting another whole week is seriously going to slowly kill me. This is torture. Haha I’ve never been so anxious in my life.

after i failed every class in middle and high school, i joined korean military service for 2 years and then came to the states with nothing. i put my ablouste best and my soul into eng and math since i was completely ignorant of them.
this long journey has been so painful and rigorous but if im accepted everything will be paid off and i will cry out all over the night.
i check transfer admission blog, portal and this forum every hour…

I’m right there with you guys. They posted another thing on the blog. As much as I hate to say this, I don’t think decisions will be released until the 12th. I think we would have gotten some heads up if it was the 5th. In every question response, they keep saying they’re on schedule to release mid-April, which I’m going to assume means “We’re releasing them the 12th.” Definitely a major bummer here, but I guess we’ll have to endure. I think it is definitely more painful for those of us who only applied to transfer to UNC.

I’m wishing now that I had applied to other schools, so that those decisions could have tided me over until the UNC decision. I guess we just have to roll with it though. There goes my sleep/productivity.

Yeah, I wish I had another decision to look forward to as well. Carolinaboy, would you consider transferring to other schools in the unc system if Chapel Hill didn’t work out for you or just stay at UNCG?

@carolinaboy where did you read that?

@ronaldinho its on the unc admissions blog.

Well, maybe we will hope for April 12th…
I think if it’s this Friday, we should receive emails that tell us how to check decisions by now.

@all

I am 100%, 100%, 100% sure that our decision is no later than 12th. I just cilcked waiting list question on unc blog, and they clearly said, “Again, to be considered for any spaces that may become available, you must indicate that you wish to accept a place on our waiting list no later than April 19, 2013.”

I accidentally found this at the bottom of page. It is now 100% clear it’s going to be this fri or next, that’s all.

If you guys already read this one, then ignore it… i was just surprised at reading this accidentally lol

@HopefulHeel – Probably not. I’d probably transfer to a school up north that my family is a bit of a legacy at, they have rolling admissions, so I could probably apply in two weeks and have no problems. It is something I obviously didn’t think through though when only sending one school an application.

@tnud are you sure that wasnt directed to first year applicants?

im so sorry
forgive me
think im crazy or something

Hm… Well sheesh. Now I’m confused.
Are we hoping for this Friday still or is that just not a thing anymore? Lol

If you guys look at last year’s post, you can find that on 4/17, they were saying that they were doing their best to finalize the decisions(sth like this, I don’t remember the exact sentence). And on 4/19 morning, they post about how to view decisions when they are available, and then decisions came out at the same day.

I hope is this Friday. Can’t wait anymore!!!

I’m HOPING for tomorrow, but I’m starting to lean more towards next Friday
I’ll be more than happy to be proven wrong though! The sooner the better.

Alright, just spoke to the senior director guy and he said they were aiming to release by this Friday but are no longer releasing tomorrow. He said no later then next Friday. I offered to fax him 20 dollars to give me a heads up and he said “You would have to fax a lot more than that.” Prepare for another week of the suck fest.

CCstudentNYC, did you take that to mean that it could come on a day other than Friday or Friday is the only possibility? Just for clarification. Haha

Actually, I kept trying to put the date on a friday and he refused to acknowledge it. As in, “Ok, so expect it by next friday then.”, “no, sometime next week the decisions will definitely be released.” The main reason I called was because of the GED problem I had I wanted to see if my decision would come with the rest and he said my decision is coming with everyone else’s, so I know it’s done already. The weird thing is they didnt start my app until three weeks into the reviewing process, if they have a decision for me then they definitely have to have everyone elses. I need coffee immediately.

Hm that’s weird. It makes me think about what he told you about the 8th, maybe they aren’t going to wait until a Friday. I feel like if they had decisions ready, what would be the point of waiting longer just for it to be Friday…

I was so desperately trying to read him and he gave me nothing; one hell of a poker face. Yea, history dictates fridays is when they are released. However, given the deadline was pushed forward this year maybe we shouldn’t assume everything is going to be the same as the previous years. He also said, we will definitely get an email warning us of the pending release a day or so prior. Now I’m extremely nervous, my app wasn’t ready for review until weeks into the process and they’re done with it already, did they just throw it in the trash. I need a hobby or something, maybe I’ll try to build one of those little boats in a bottle, this wait is killing me.

Whhhhhhhhhhhhy lol
