Official UNC-Chapel Hill Fall 2014 Transfer Thread

@bengals1 - If I don’t hear today, I’ll probably contact someone at admissions tomorrow. I’m not surprised of my late decision because of a late submission and my “complicated” application. Otherwise I might have contacted them already.

Ugh… I’m peeved at the registration bit too! As transfers we come in with a lot of credit, and have a limited time frame to finish our degrees. It is important we get registered for the classes we need. It’s B.S. they didn’t at least hold registration until all decisions were finalized. :(

Today is another day, and I wish you guys luck!!

Someone please call admissions and get us some answers!

I called earlier and they didn’t say a specific reason as to why they were delayed just that they were still under review. I said it puts those waiting at a disadvantage since registration is open, he didn’t say much to that.

If I don’t hear anything by tonight then I will be really disappointed.

So will I! I will be shocked if they don’t release the remaining decisions today. It shouldn’t take this long.

There is a new post on the admissions website and I asked a question for you all, who are still waiting, that may be of some use to you. Now is your opportunity to post a question and get an answer straight from admissions! Take advantage of it! Even though I am committed elsewhere, I still would like to know if I would have gotten in…

Still nothing :/

“Thank you for submitting your application. Your decision will never be available.” >:)

@KA8803‌ seriously!!! This is insane

Yeah, I’m currently writing an e-mail to the Vice Chancellor of Admissions. This is beyond ridiculous and has now become unacceptable. Simply because I’m a prospective student does NOT mean I deserve no accountability or explanation. Mind you, we all PAID for admissions as well. Admit me or deny me, it doesn’t matter - we deserve a decision and an explanation. Period.

For those still waiting:

Stephen M. Farmer, Vice Provost for Enrollment and Undergraduate Admissions.

sfarmer@admissions.unc.edu

If you are one of those people still waiting on a decision you might be above waitlist people. They probably would put you on waitlist, but fear if they do that a lesser percentage of yall will come to unc. Thus they are hoping on having kids enroll or reject decisions asap. So then everyday they can extend a few more offers on a shorter time frame than you all too.

Oh my…I can’t believe it’s been almost 3 years that I finally signed up for CC…because of this delay!!!

I called the Admissions Office today. I was so excited this morning when I saw an email from UNC Admissions, asking for additional materials. Yes…my application is incomplete until today because of my special situation, but they told me a long time ago that whatever they have in the data base is enough. Anyways, they told me that I definitely won’t hear back from them today (which was true), and I could expect 3-4 more days of waiting, and they are working hard to make sure all results are out by this Friday.

Finger crossed for everyone who’s still waiting for the result!!!

Hey! If you guys didn’t check after 7, check again! I’m waitlisted… more waiting for me :(

…Also I’m still rooting for you guys [-O<

Just checked again, still nothing! Again, hopefully today will be the final day! Good luck everyone!

Has anyone registered for fall courses yet?

I have registered but I lucked out in being in a professional school - my courses are set in stone and guaranteed for me!

This is freaking ridiculous…

Wow UNC, really?

You can’t say those of us still waiting aren’t being put at a disadvantage. I thought UNC was better than this, do they even care at all?
