I would suggest calling admissions and asking for an extension on the intent to enroll deadline. I know I’m waiting for FA offers, and so if that’s a concern of yours, that would be my suggestion.

That’s def. an idea! I know I’m going there but its messing me up a little because I would like to know my aid before I commit. But I feel we need to commit soon in order to get housing! Has anyone filled out the form but has not yet enrolled? What does this exactly guarantee? Thanks for all of your help! :)

UPDATE
I got feedback from both reslife and financial aid

With reslife you can fill out the form, like now, without yet submitting enrollment. They have good feelings about providing on campus housing for transfers this year but, they strongly suggest submitting it ASAP. If you do choose to NOT dorm on campus you have to notify them by July 1.

As for financial aid they told me May the 1st. There is a net price calculator on the website though for those interested.

I filled out the housing form on my main applications page. The page that shows the submission statuses of everything. Is that the only form to fill out for housing? It asks a few questions, like do we smoke, where we study etc

just out of curiosity, has anyone confirmed their enrollment yet??

Not yet. I’m still working on the housing form myself!

ive confirmed my enrollment.

Anyone else waiting to hear back from other schools yet? I wish Maryland would have released their decisions later…

And does anyone know if we have until May 1 or 30 days after our letter to confirm enrollment (~May 7)?

@smewshie I am waiting to hear back from other schools too. one even has its notification date set back for june 3rd. i received my letter in the mail and it says i have 30 days to confirm enrollment. so if you got your letter dated on April 7th, you have until May 7th to confirm

I haven’t confirmed enrollment yet. Im still waiting another month for hopkins. Even though I’m kinda leaning towards college park now.

Sent from my SPH-L710 using CC

I’m not living on campus…so I don’t need to do housing. Is there anything I need to do before may 1 besides accept?

Also this health form is a pita…I’m 33 and I seriously doubt my parents still know where I had my vaccines.

@yoshi45 dang! What school’s decisions come out that late? I think that’s when I’m hearing back from NYU, too >_> Hopefully, I will have all of my other letters by May 1st.

@cryan19 I was also looking at Hopkins, but the tuition is too high for me. Hope you get in though!

@jensgt I think you just have to accept and put down the $400 deposit.

I accepted and tried to schedule orientation but it still acted as if I had not accepted so I will try again today, its probably ok by now. I emailed them about the immunization form.

Forza, how do you access the housing form?

Hey IGoToSchool if you go to the UMD admissions portal its all the way at the bottom of the main menu! If not ask feel free to ask ResLife! They’re really quick with a response. :)

Is it on the same page as all the other submission statuses? Where when you fill it out the little box turns red? You said you were still working on filling it out but the form I filled out was very brief, that’s why I ask.

Thanks!

Oh! oh! Sorry for the confusion! We’re talking about the same form. I just had to double check with some things, like the meal plan. I did finally submit it yesterday evening!

ok thanks, good that’s one thing off my checklist haha. Good luck with housing, I hear it’s usually tough for us transfers to get anything on campus.

For our sake, I hope so too! I’m rooting for me to dorm in the Ellicot Community…finger’s crossed!

Ahh so nervous about housing! Need to send that in today. Can we change the meal plan selected on the housing form later on?

Also, which halls are the best? I.e., bathroom, fridge, A/C, maybe cable/kitchen, close to quad/not far from campus buildings, etc.
