I was rejected senior year with just an email, I didn’t get anything in the mail. Should we expect something in the mail telling us we got accepted? I thought everything was online now…?
When they make a decision, they email you right away. After the email is sent, they will send you something through the mail. You can check Wolverine Access to see the decision, but I recommend not to since you will get an email of your decision.
I didn’t check when my app was complete or ask them. I thought I wasn’t going to get in, but I got accepted.
@HikozaruBlaze why did you think that you weren’t going to get in?
Rejected today from CoE civil engineering
HS GPA: N/A (went to a British school)
GPA: 3.89 (taking the last pre-req now)
Credits: 68 credits after this semester
Extracurriculars: On the college tennis team, active volunteer, campus job. Was president of the MUN club in high school as well as on the Yearbook Committee along with being on the student council.
OOS (I go to an international universities)
Was rejected based on the “rigor of my college courses, grades and pre-requisites”.
Sadly thought I had a chance because of my GPA and the fact that I finished all pre reqs save for Calculus III

well my 3.3gpa is 99.99% a reject whenever i hear from them then lol
@transfergirl36 I wonder what courses you took for them to imply your course selection was not difficult enough. I can’t see why 3.89 is a reason to reject, that’s really high unless it was boosted by gpa booster courses? did we have to complete our pre-req’s by fall2014 or something? considering prereq’s was a problem for you…
@jz9chen I have no idea, honestly. The only GPA booster courses I’ve taken so far are micro and macro economics (I’m considering a minor and I mentioned this) and heritage (requirement). Other than that, I spent my free elective on programming (CVE students here barely touch computers) and I’ve completed the courses I need to open major courses 
(Pre req GPA was 3.83, which is a bit lower, yeah)
As far as I knew, pre-reqs had to finish before the fall semester, but you couldn’t finish them in summer. There are several people who got accepted on this forum that are still taking pre-reqs so…
Only explanation for the difficulty of my courses is the fact that we don’t cover everything that’s offered at Umich, which is a syllabus problem, not my own personal problem the way I see it.
Don’t eliminate yourself just yet! The fact that you haven’t heard back yet and weren’t rejected with ShuttlepilotND and I is still a good sign! Keep hoping and good luck!!
