sparknotes explicitly says republicans rose to national prominence
knowthings rose but then died out quickly.

I'm pretty sure it was formation....

Sparknotes was very helpful, but on the first two practice tests I felt horrible and scored 680-690. Yesterday I took one last practice test and felt great- 770. Today I felt horrible, but just like xxmademoiselle, I'm finding on this site that I got most of the questions I was confused about right.

it said which third party was formed or sumthing like that. Republicans and Democarts were lready there so I eliminated that. Federalists died out after War of 1812 and Whig Party, as I said before, formed during Jacksons years.

"i put pragmatism. how does "experience" imply intuition."
I'm like 90% sure this was transcendentalism.
First, in philosophical terms, pragmatism is not JUST empiricism (IE sense data). Usually that data is practically analyzed, and done in terms of science/practicality etc.
Whereas transcendentalism accepts that sensory experience no matter its logical applicaitons, that's what I meant by intuition.
Second, if you've looked over spark notes or anything they are looking to explicity test you on schools of literature/thought in USH: which would primarily be romantic, transcendentalist, etc. Pragmatism is pretty much irrelevant to that so contextually speaking it doesn't make much sense even if you were right philosophically speaking.

Alex, you are right but Republicans were never a "third" party. They formed way before the KS/NE Bill.Don't read too much into it. It was wither the Whigs or Know Nothings as they were the only "third" parties during the time that had any prominence.

How many people took more than one SAT II? I took three! I was the only one in my entire county taking them, though. Let's just say my county's not very motivated...

Here is what I put..these are MANY of the questions :)

CHILL you can miss 8 and still get a perfect 800 miss about 14 and get 770 the curve is AWESOME!!!!!!!

i don't remember the question saying third party

oh yeah and the kansas and nebraska act made the: No nothing part I think

i agree with most of those but...
i put joint stock for roanoke
i put pragmatism for logic

also what about the marxist quote, i put slavery and oppressed

AP Freak,
I agree with all but:
- Book most sold: It had to be Uncle Toms Cabin
- Decleration of Ind.: I remember crossing that choice out you stated...not sure
- Iron Curtain: Soviet domination of Eastern Europe according to Chuchill.
- Logic Quote: Pragmatism? I elimintated it to that and Transcendentalism
- Push of the Cliff: Nuclear tension r sumtin. It was made in 1953, after WWII.
- Fench Lost Territory: I didn't know that one for sure. I figured the French nd Indian War was in 1763 but Louisiana purchase was in 1803 so I figured they still had land. Not sure at all!

that's pretty good! As long as I get a 750 I am HAPPY :) :) :) ! I think I got above a 700 on my bio SATII but bombed the math one!

Why is this test curve so good, lol!
Yeah, and the book most sold after the Bible was definetely Uncle Tom's Cabin.

cuz there are somany questions and people miss alot...like us..but we should be in the mid 700 range!

Here is what sparknotes says the curve is:

miss 7 (ajusted for guess penalty) get 800
miss about 14 get 760

miss about 20 get 700

Well I took that test for the first time and supposedly, and comparing it to many of the practice tests I took, it was fairly hard. The actual curve of the test itself is pretty comparable to the Spark Notes Conversion Table. However, I feel this curve might be a little more lenient as may people would agree that this test was hard and had a lot of question about specifics. I am hoping 730+ becuase I skipped like 6 questions and already see i got like 3 wrong for sure.

Good Luck to you all.

Thnks, livinitup. =/ I hope you are right because that's exactly what I'm hoping for...
Except I skipped a lot more than you did. =/ This was my first test everrrrrrrr. :(

hey for the one with the dotted map of slavery and stuff

I put cheap southern land... idk if i screwed up... because i was thinking : the appalachians are kinda in the south as well and there was a lot of slavery around the applachians area

Hey i did research and found that the book Don Quixote is considered the second most published. Was that an answer. I found something related to huck finn being the answer but is uncle toms cabin reallythe asnwer? how?

i got the well distributed is south carolina
