Official US November SAT discussion

@ tennislvr I had the experimental grammar, and it was definitely section 4/5. The improving paragraphs was on the relationship between sound and sight.

@ piedpilko, the stone ruins one, as myelbow said is definitely NO ERROR. The problem was a confusion of tenses. It went something like “blah blah blah STANDS the stone ruins”, which is obviously wrong.

@myelbow4: Do you mean stands? Cause I think that’s what I put because it should be stand since ruins is plural right?

We have to compile all the right answers :stuck_out_tongue: That would be so helpful and I’d love whomever does that <3

it was the one that had the parabola with the y=kx^2 find the value of k; line 1 unit up (parallel) with a length of 1.4

(i had math section 2,5,6,9; 5 was experimental)

Vocab question: It was 2 blanks, was one of them (the first one) sneered? :D

i got 4 math sections. does anyone think that math section 2 was experimental?? please help!!!

miniyovan said 5 was experimental ):

****kk i dont wanna believe it :(((( NOOOO

for the truism one I put childish I read the question as referring to the claims about not getting it right the first time and quitting cause youre not cut out for it?

yeah rennir it’s stands. Now I remember.

i may be wrong, but aren’t you not supposed to have 2 of the “same” section back to back if they both are part of your score (this lead me to assume section 5 doesn’t count, however 5 seemed a a lot easier than 2)

@ ChrxswxN Do you remember more about what the sight/sound one was about? because i dont remember that one…and is it possible that the sections are in different order? because i really hope the experimental one was 4/5 but it may be different order.

what was the slope of the tangent line to the circle with center (3,-4)?

what was the length of BC for the triangle with BD length 1.5?

radius of the rwo semi-cirlces outside of the square?

BC was 4.5
1.5:2 2+4=6 6:x x= 4.5

why was it 4/3. it put 3/5

Yea i thought it was like 18 at first then i read the question like 10 times and knew i was wrong and then changed it :D

bakere19, what was the slope?

Nope the slope was most definitely NOT 4/3. The line is tangent to the origin. Therefore, the radius is contained by the line containing the points (0,0), and (3, -4) The slope of that line is -4/3. Remember that tangent lines create a line PERPENDICULAR. The line perpendicular to -4/3 is 3/4.

o.o I put slope 3/4…
Was “had lain” an error?
