Official US November SAT discussion

Only screwed up 2 math questions. F-.

Wanted the 800 so badly. Screwed up the question with 7 points on a circle and see how many possible combinations it made in the fillers and had to omit an MCQ which was one of the last questions on a certain section: the 1980s one where you had m and it would double each year till 2005. I wish I had like 10 extra seconds for that one…

I put subtle because the passage describes that people do not let go of their preconceived notions and even incorporate them to the new stuff that they learn.

Was the 1980 one (2^5)m? And for the 7 points on a circle is there a quick method for that (to account for repeat lines)?

What did you put for the question that asked… which of the following is comparable to the man’s reaction to the grand canyon?

Or just do 7 choose 2…it’s a combination

@jefferyJung: Are you sure it’s 21? Someone earlier said it was 28. I put down 21 also.

This would be awesome.

I drew it out and can confirm it’s 21, I have no idea why I didn’t do the nCr, must have slipped my mind.

For future counting questions like that, you can do 7 (Total number of options) nCr (Under Math on calculator) 2 (Number of points that make a segment)

Edit: Then again, there probably will be no more future questions like that ;)

I love combinatorics and I’m 100% sure it was 21.

Jeffery how many SAT’s have you taken?

I took two so far.

I took Oct and Nov, and I’m registered for Dec one.

Trying to take 3 and superscore. :)

What did everyone get for the question comparing a situation to the Bostonian man’s reaction to the grand canyon? did anyone say a CD that sounds different than a concert?

did anyone get 1995 for one of them. I swore it said above 2000

Yeah I got the CD one as well

Could anyone possibly explain the question with the constants h and z? I don’t remember the exact question though :p

Which one was the reading experimental? Does anyone know? I feel like the section with the invention and Amy smith should be experimental since it was contradictory. However if anyone could remind me what else was in that section that’d be great because I totally forgot xD

Does anyone remember the context to the boss and employees implicit thing?
also I picked wrong but inherently plausible but I feel like it should’ve been prevalent but inexplicably so. Can someone clarify on that?

also I probably failed the writing section. I’m not sure about 30 percent of those

there was a math question about x% of y and y% of x, was that 4?

I can tell you for sure that invention and Amy smith was not experimental.

I would like to know other answer choices for the the implicit SC.

Argh that passages seem to contradict each other? I mean the first one was like to improve something but it says not of necessity. the second passage was like to improve people’s life but is that a necessity or no? I think for one of them I put the second passage illustrates an example from the first concept.

I know the sentence for implicit goes like
Happy employees make a happy staff, bosses believes this ______; they cannot imagine otherwise.
I don’t really think implicit fits so I’d like to know the choice for other ones.

also what was the answer to the writing question that goes like. She argued before the congress that the graves should be protected? I put no error but I’m not sure @.@

I remember the sentence now, but I know I didn’t put implicit.

The writing question you mentioned was no error.
