I submitted both my commonapp and supplement on 1/27, my commonapp was “downloaded” the day after however my supplement still has not until today. should i be worried?

minor dilemma here. I know sat/act scores are required if you have less than 30 units, but i’ve got just 35 and was wondering if i should submit them anyways. they’re sort of on the average-low side

Ok, do I need to submit my official transcript by the 1st? Because I don’t have it yet.

If am not able to do so, should I even submit my application?

Submitted my common app two days ago and my supp just now. I think I’m shaking. Good luck to everyone else!

Just to clarify - I looked through the transfer thread from last year, and a couple of posters noted that SAT/ACT test scores ARE NOT required for transfer applicants. However, if you do send them and you have less than 30 credits, they will take the test score(s) into account along with your high school grades. Mine are slightly crappy yet are automatically attached with my high school transcript, so I really had no choice. If your test scores are good/above average, then it wouldn’t hurt to send them.

@smalone3d: You can do it tomorrow… just don’t do it Saturday lol

@yakooza: Your transcripts/test scores/entire app/whatever should be postmarked on or before February 1st. If you can’t get it postmarked by tomorrow, they won’t throw your app away or anything like that but I wouldn’t take any chances.

Good luck everyone I’ll submit my app sometime tomorrow… extreme procrastination.

@LaChicaBuena what would you say a good/aboe average SAT score would look like? I’m sorry I’m just freaking out here. just submitted my app and i’m nervous

Is the app due January 31 @ 11:59PM or do we also have February 1st to work on it?

^ Since the deadline is February 1st, the app is due February 1st 11:59PM.

@ajindt: Honestly, a good score can only help you!

If I am inputting my AP Scores into the commonapp, MUST i submit my collegeboard score report to USC by Feb 1st? BTW, I will have way more than 30 units by this summer.

Whaaaaaaat. There is no way in hell I could get an official transcript from my college for at least another week. Probably longer for High School one.

What are the consequences of that? I dont imagine that they would scrap my whole application because I was late on those.

One more thing, in order to qualify for merit based scholarships like Transfer Merit MUST I submit a FAFSA by Feb 1? Or is it not necessary as long as I submit the common app and supplement?

The scores you put on the common app are not official; in order for your scores to actually “count,” they must be sent to USC. I’m not entirely sure since I’m not sending my AP scores, but I think as long as they’re postmarked (or however that process works) by tomorrow, they’ll include them in your app.

@yakooza: I don’t think there will be any consequences, but the last thing you want when they start the reviewing process is an incomplete application, especially since your decision could be delayed. Have them sent as soon as you can.

I am a rising junior with over 30 credits. Do I need to submit SAT scores? I have already submitted high school and college transcripts

^ If you think they’ll enhance your app, then by all means submit them. If not, don’t worry about it.

I really need to get off CC and finish my app. Eghhh.

I’m a freshman applying as a sophomore and I completed 15 units so far, but I will have 33 units completed by spring. Is it okay if I don’t submit my SAT scores?

THanks LaChica. One more question. If I am interested in qualifying for merit scholarships like Transfer Merit, MUST I submit the FAFSA/CSS PROFILE by Feb 1? Or is it not necessary for this as long as the common app and supplement are submitted?

Thanks for the help!

ALSO: On the education section in the common app, at the very bottom entitled COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES: DO we list all colleges EVER attended? OR just the ones we were enrolled in while attending high school (if any)?

If we submitted the FAFSA, do we need to submit the CSS? What even is the CSS I’ve never heard of it until this year applying to USC.

Yes you MUST submit both FAFSA and the CSS profile, it has to be done ASAP.

Just submitted my application. When will I receive USConnect info?
