An AO told me there is a portion of com app where we can list the classes we are taking but I cannot find it. It’s not under “Questions” or “Writing Supplement” under USC. HELP!:(

@ CIordia

Calm down I believe that is after turning in your application , I do not have it either and judging from past years threads that is afterwards.

Hello new to this, anyone applying to their aerospace program?

Looking at this thread is kind of worrying me about my application, can someone that is applying to Viterbi School of Engineering please help me. Going into a panic mode now.

Thanks in advance.

I have a question about letters of recommendation

I’m applying to SCA and halfway done through my supplements but the only problem I have is the letters, I contacted the 3 professors that know me best and that like me as a student because I did well in their classes, two of them are out of their offices for winter break, only one is still available

What should I do? Will I get disqualified if I don’t have 3 letters?

Please someone help me I worked hard on my supplements and don’t want to turn all that to waste :(

Harren, the important thing is to get your application in before the Feb 1 deadline with or without the the letters of recommendation. You will definitely not be disqualified without the letters on Feb 1. Your file will simply be considered incomplete until they receive at least one letter. This happens all the time and you will be absolutely fine!

Thanks, I emailed AO and she said I could take WRIT130 at USC if admitted. Still I am worried that they would reject me because I didn’t take a writing class

Do we also need to send a hard copy of our LoRs through mail, or is it just through common app?

How significantly are your chances lowered if you have terrible HS grades and average SAT’s but already have 3 years of CC completed with a decent/good GPA and great EC’s?

@Jacobi6

I don’t think any emphasis is placed on your HS grades after 30 units. EC’s also have little to no effect on admissions.

I am currently enrolled at University of South Carolina as a freshman. I will have had all categories covered besides the one required at USC. I see a lot of people having multiple letters of rec, I only have one. Is that a problem?

Also, I will have taken 28 credits with 8 in APs, are they still going to rely heavily on my high-school because I am two short.

All my credits were on an articulation history with south carolina, and i received a 4.0 first semester and expect the same for this semester. Thoughts? Thanks.

Yo only need one, the other two are optional, 28 units they will still take a look at high school transcripts, regardless of that you got a 4.0 now which means something changed from hs to college, that should be a good sign

Do they look at it, even with the 8 in AP’s putting me at 36.

Yes, I had the same question and called SC, the transfer counselor told me AP’s don’t count towards the 30 units.

Last questions. How much does EC and recs matter and is your regional counselor the one that reviews your application or is it put with the particular school one is applying too. For me, Annenberg and Dornslife?

@USC2USC I will also have 28 units by the end of Spring Semester and was wondering the same thing.

@USC2USC

According to AO, we are first admitted to USC then our application is reviewed by the school of your choice to decide on your enrollment to that school. So I guess there are two phases of admission process.

Question about the Registrar and midterm report.

Do we send those in after we submit our online commonapp application???

Do they HAVE to be hard copies?

Not to be rude but those questions have been answered like 4 times in the past 2 to 3 pages back

Anyways, no registrar report is required for transfer applications as for midterm reports they will let you know once you submit your application.
