Official USC 2015 Transfer Thread

Hey guys! Did you guys send in the COLLEGE REPORT and the SECONDARY SCHOOL REPORT?? I’m being told different things! please let me know if it is required or not!!! please!!!

The college report is not required but for reassurance you can look on their website in the application tips and that’s where it says that it’s not required.

@weare1 by the time i have my spring grades, i’ll have 32 units, so yeah i’ll have the 30 units completed.

i’m submitting my portfolio right now. I AM SO NERVOUS. How did you do yours? I had no idea how to do mine… I feel like I won’t get in because of my portfolio…

And my quick takes:
Three words: Innovative, Creative, and Bold
Favorite food: Seafood Paella
Fictional character: Gandalf (the Mithrandir)
Greatest invention: The refrigerator
Fun: Play piano or longboard
Role model: Hayao Miyazaki
Book: The Five People you Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
Movie: Howl’s Moving Castle
Artist: Joe Hisaishi
Dream job: An architect in the Gensler Firm

@elmhsstudent You should be fine then and don’t be nervous I think you’ll be fine your stats are great. I pretty much have been documenting all my projects over the years and have put projects in by chapters. Each chapter consists of project description, pictures of the model, floor plans, sections, elevations, renderings etc.

Hey guyys! I have a quick question!! So… i took 14 units last semester and am currently taking 14 units… which totals 28 units… which means I’m falling short 2 units in order to fulfill the 30 (which I desperately need)
So i was wondering… bc i have 15 AP credits… would those credits count towards the 30 unit count???

I haven’t gotten my USC ID yet in my e-mail. Has anyone else experienced this?

@hokan10‌ I haven’t gotten mine yet either, and I submitted my app on the 29th. I wouldn’t worry about it yet.

@trollieggs If the scores are 4+ then yeah they probably would count. I remember reading the lowest AP score USC accepts is a 4, it would probably be best to check with someone in admissions though.

Hi everyone! I applied to USC as a sophomore. I might be two units short of the 30 units by the end of spring semester. Do you guys think the four years of foreign language I took in high school build upon my college units?

I submitted my common app on the 30th (Friday night) and my you.usc.edu account still says “pre-applicant?”

Anyone else have this problem?

Hey what’s guys quick question,

Was wondering how a professor can send a letter of rec? Can they mail it to the admissions office or how does it work exactly

Hey guys I have a question. I just logged in to youSC and I’m looking in the “submit documents page.” Are the received/required documents accurate? I’m asking because it says I haven’t sent my supplement yet even though I’ve sent in both common app and supplement…It also says it hasnt received my college transcripts even though my college shows that they have sent them like 2 weeks ago…

Also what is “supplement PDF”? It says its the supplement with the common app, but I’ve submitted that already and it shows…

@NCXfer‌

They are fairly accurate. USC says allow 2-3 weeks for transcript info to show up. They are also super lenient with the transcripts being there on time. If they don’t pop up in the next week I would look up your admissions counselor and ask them to check the status.

The supplement should update almost immediately. At least mine did, maybe I’m just lucky. When did you submit the supplement? And did you apply to any schools that require an additional supplement like SCA or Roski or Thornton?

I have the same issue but with only the “supplement pdf” even though I submitted it with my common app on January 30th. I just called admissions and they said you just have to let it update, so you should be fine as long as on the common app it states that you turned it in before Feb 2.

Just give the school time. I submitted my transcripts in person, so I would not have to deal with any anxiety, yet they are still requesting that I send in the transcripts. So, I am positive that if you mailed in your transcripts, they just haven’t gotten to yours in the office yet. Just wait it out.

Alright thanks guys, thats a relief. And no, @mpkzaa I don’t have an additional supplement to submit. Everything was in by the 30th I believe.

Guys I have a quick question. I sent my transcripts before I submitted my application. Is this why my account says the school has not received my transcripts…? Should I have applied earlier and sent my transcripts after submitting the common application…?

I had a question about when we find out if we got accepted or not. Do we really have to wait till June? Or will they start telling people earlier as well?

@LodiKid‌ From previous threads I read, decisions do come out earlier but not significantly.
