Official USC 2015 Transfer Thread

Yea i got an sgr but not a winter quarter grade request, which is wierd becuase I never sent my winter grades in but they are asking me for my my spring quarter grades and i emailed back to confirm with them and they said that i should just send my spring quarter grades in

@njoi123 when did you get an sgr?

@HappyLifeMachine‌ email your admissions counselor! they make a note of it in your file. (i had to do the same thing)

When you guys get notifications from usc (sgr, winter grade request, etc.) do they also e-mail you along with it popping up in your you.usc.edu account?

@collegebeans Yeah, they should email the address you provided on the commonapp. Email from SC incidentally goes into the “promotional” folder on my gmail so be sure to check your secondary folders throughout the next couple months.

is you.usc.edu not working for anyone else? im guessing its because freshamn decisions are posted today?

Yep you sc is down, they might be updating it for sgr and maybe just maybe some early transfer decisions. In older threads transfers were getting admitted as early as late March early April excitting  anyway anybody trying the oasis business this year lol

I’m not having any troubles logging onto yousc. Maybe it’s because I’ve been rejected…

Guys my youSC website won’t show me my application status.

In the url it says “/preapplicant” does anyone else have this?

YouSC is working fine for me, no updates though

@RAHforHEE‌ Why in the world would that mean you’ve been rejected?

@stevenjp‌ Just having a bit of fun, sort of poking at all the speculation that goes into the admission process.

Hey guys, ugh, do you think USC automatically rejects people for getting a W? I was rejected last year without one, but I’ve fallen behind in a math class after a heart problem scare. I just can’t catch up. Do you think it’s a better decision to drop or just try for a C? There’s no way I’ll get an A. My current GPA is 3.9ish with over 80 units. I don’t know what to do.

@zettasyntax‌ USC doesn’t reject for a W; however since its a math class and if its required such as business calc or clac they might reject you cause you don’t have it completed. Try for a C or a B in my opinion.

@njoi123‌ I also had the same thing happen. Got both a winter and spring request, but haven’t submitted my winter term grades yet… Wonder what this means.

@RAHforHEE‌ Ah I see, thats pretty funny. It was hard to tell you were kidding when people here constantly make serious posts like that, ie: “They just sent me a spring grade request, how screwed am I, or does this mean I’m in?” nigga it mean they want your spring grades before they make that decision, nobody here is a psychic

Hey guys, if i got credit for Calc AB and BC (5 on BC exam in hs) at my current 4 year university, will USC care if i didnt have to take business calc in college? also does my micro and macro econ classes in college transfer over to USC or do i have to retake them there?

@notphil I can’t answer your entire question, but check out the USC Articulation Transfer Report for you desired major and your school. I know that the econ classes at my college aren’t equivalent over at USC, but if you’re at a 4 year, it’s more likely that they are. Check it out.

@zettasyntax, dam bro you got rejected with a 3.9ish last year? Where you a full time students, did you take courses that were USC transferable? I always hear of good students (3.9-4.0) being rejected but I’ve never actually asked them why they though it was that they were rejected. Hopefully they accept you this year bro!

I was skimming through the 2014 Transfer thread and everyone was talking about OASIS. does anyone know what that actually is?? I didn’t really understand what it was through the other thread and was hoping someone on here knew about it.
