@ForeverGymnast21 I figured.
Just got into Vandy last week. I will probably go there, but I still want to see what USC can offer me. What is the deadline of them giving us decision.
What about dornsife? Any update?
Congrats to those accepted!!!
I have a lot on the line as I’m sure many of you all do, this wait is killing me… I carry a 4.0 with 35 completed united and 13 in progress, but nothing is guaranteed. Haven’t heard anything at all and no access to OASIS. Can’t seem to shake off the feeling that I could have done more, my Cornell rejection on Monday has already gotten my spirits down. Good luck to everyone!
@Hellotherefellow I am a Marshall applicant as well, haven’t hear nothing so far. My friend got his gold package yesterday, he applied to Thornton though. Do you have access to oasis?
@jucery13 No, but i am not overly concerned about it. I have confidence in my stats and i know Marshall applicatants last year that got accepted and they did not have access to oasis.
@jucery13 I also applied to Thornton like your friend! Do you know what program/major? I also haven’t heard anything.
Could someone help me out. So I’m looking to transfer to USC and I have some trouble figuring out how they would calculate my GPA. Do they look at my entire transcript and figure my GPA from their or do they look at the courses that are only transferable. My GPA including non-transferable courses is 3.515 my GPA with only transferable courses is 3.8. Which would they see?
@aubreygiveshugs He applied for music industry.
@sam18234 I’ve actually asked this question to the undergraduate admissions office. They have a special formula to calculate your GPA, and won’t tell you what the formula is.
I’m still in tears as I write this…
Just came home today from work and found the “golden package” on my desk. I was accepted! I got into the Music Industry major at Thornton School of Music.
@HelloThereFellow I had two LORs, one from a community college instructor and one from an alumnus. However, I know that Marshall doesn’t require LORs, which I’m guessing means that they probably don’t even read them. It varies by school, though.
@aubreygiveshugs omg! That is so exciting ! Congrats!!!
@dmdwelle do you know when dornsife will send out their decisions?
@msmclagirl Dornsife decisions could possibly come out this week. Last year people started getting Dornsife decisions April 26- first few days of May.
@ForeverGymnast21 Aw, thank you so much!!
@aubreygiveshugs congratulations!!! im so happy for you and so jealous at the same time!! :))
@juniorwhooper101 Haha thank you so much! Honestly, I was totally blindsided today. I wasn’t even expecting a decision until way later and the fact that it was good news blew my mind. Keep hanging in there! If it could happen to me, it could happen to you, as well as anyone!
@aubreygiveshugs congrats on your admission! I also received my package for admission for music industry today! Glad to see a fellow future classmate receive the great news!
@westcoaster5567 Congrats yourself! I’m glad, too. So cool. I think it’s safe to say Thornton just sent out a wave, so exciting. Completely unexpected.
