@SCAstrojan I’m worried about not having heard anything yet. I wouldn’t mind receiving an SGR because my grades are very well this semester and I’m taking 22 units so hopefully this all pays off. I’m just really stressed out with this whole process. Ever since I was offered the TTP I’ve been really anxious.
I hope you are all doing well! I pored over this forum when I was applying to transfer to USC Dornsife from CSULB. I was trying to transfer as a sophomore and unfortunately, I didn’t make the cut. I applied again this time just to see if I would get in, and I got into Dornsife around the end of March! I don’t know if I can provide much in the way of advice, but patience is really important and if it doesn’t work out, don’t be afraid to try again if USC is what you really want. Good luck to everyone who’s waiting!
This is my first post, but I applied/auditioned for the BFA and BA in Theatre as a transfer. When do the decisions come out for Dramatic Arts usually? I’m asking because I was accepted to a private school that requires me to commit on May 1st.
@acole16 I auditioned for theatre last year as a freshmen applicant and I remember at the audition there were transfers there as well and they said transfers wouldn’t hear back until May-June. For BFA, I’m not sure about BA
@Mick96 I totally get you, I’m TTP as well and this year in general has been super stressful. One thing I wish is that it was more clear what exactly TTP did. Like someone said earlier, you just gotta be confident in who you are as applicant. Good Luck!
Hi everyone! First post here. I’m a Marshall applicant, and today I had a link on my USC portal (not a message, but just a link) about submitting mid-year grades. Just to make sure, that ISN’T a SGR, correct? The only reason I’m asking is because the form said “senior year grades” yet had the name of the CC I attend. But I’m just assuming they’re using the first year form for transfers as well. Has anyone else received a request for mid year grades?
Mind you, my grades have been pretty steady my entire college career except for one semester that was bad, and I’ve had an upward trend ever since.
@erickmorales Great news on your acceptance into Dornsife! Btw did you apply under the same major as last year and if not what do you think made the difference this year around?
Would anyone happen to know when Viterbi started releasing admissions last year? June 1st is a long way from now so I’m hoping they release them sooner!
@ohwow1 Once you’re in the youSC portal go to “Applying to USC” and click on “Check your application status” it will then show “Current Message” mine says - You do not have any messages at this time. There’s other information regarding Financial Aid or Visit USC but I assume any SGR or Acceptance notifications will be under the “Check your application status” anyone can correct me if I’m wrong mine has been like this since I applied. As for Oasis if you’ve never had access to it then no worries not everyone does.
@ohwow1 try logging in using Google Chrome or Firefox. It doesn’t work for me on GC so I use Safari. Sometimes it just depends on what browser you’re using.
@ohwow1 Here is the Frequently Asked Questions on youSC: Why am I unable to view my admission status after applying for admission to USC?
You may need to register a new account using the e-mail you provided on the Common Application. You will then receive an e-mail asking you to activate your account.
Hope it helps if not maybe use this: Solutions to common issues are provided below. If you require further assistance, contact us via e-mail or by phone at (213) 740-1111.
I have a feeling I’m not properly registered for the site. I get this message right at the top when I log in: “Already applied to USC? Register for an account using the e-mail address you provided on your Common Application to access a variety of services, including updates to your application status.” But I dont see a link to do that.
@ohwow1 Can you go to your Common Application site instead of the youSC portal and check to see if everything was uploaded correctly when you applied to usc? It should show the date everything was submitted if you don’t see anything missing then it’s possible you didn’t properly register for the youSC site as you thought?
