Official USC 2015 Transfer Thread

@lancaster29 I got a physical letter. My mother called me freaking out thinking I got accepted lol!

tell me about it my parents thought I got rejected from usc because of the small envelope (containing the SGR).

@trnsfrstdnt Are you a California resident or out of state? I feel like the only out of state student that applied to universities in California.

California resident haha. im sure there are many OOS

Is USC sending out waves of acceptances? Basically, are they sending out a group of acceptances every week?

@Msmclagirl I thought it was actually easier for a freshman to transfer than a soph/junior because there seems to be less competition from first year students it’s just a hunch. And yes also learned that usc only looks at transferable courses which could either help if you took the correct ones but mine don’t seem to all fit - just have to wait and see can’t change anything at this point.

any luck today anyone?

@Mick96 yes they send out acceptances, SGR’s and Rejections’s all in the upcoming weeks

@madlion21 those are my choices too!

@invalid99 are you a sophomore or junior transfer? My roommate and I (both viterbi applicants) are still waiting on SGR…

@ajw14f Public relations! The first decision I saw was for public relations on that date so I hope it’s the same this year.

@MakeMilDolMove Right on, thanks!

@emwrbrtn Good choices just hope that there’s room for us - seems to be a lot of Psychology majors wanting to transfer in but don’t know how many are looking at Sociology?

@lazevike I am a junior transfer, I didn’t think you could transfer as a sophomore. Man I really should review their site more. :))

Did anyone else admissions status page change?.. mine no longer says anything about June… but it still doesnt say anything really at all…

@lordfx what does yours look like ? my page didn’t change

@lordfx Mine is still the same.

mine just says this now “We have received your Common Application and USC Writing Supplement.”

This is what mine says:

You can track the status of your application here. Check back periodically to see any new information that is requested. Please be aware that all final admission decisions are sent via postal mail. If you are using the Safari browser on a Mac computer or iPhone and experiencing problems viewing a message, please try an alternate browser such as Chrome.

We have received your Common Application and USC Supplement, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of May, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify transfers by June 1st. Sometimes, in the course of our review of applications, we find that we need additional information. In such cases we will email a request. If you receive a request for more information, please respond promptly. In some cases we need to review final, spring term grades. If we request these of you, we will provide specific instructions on how to submit your spring grades to ensure speedy handling. In these cases, we make our final decisions later, typically by mid-July.

yeah that is what mine said until today
